Hello internet marketeers,

A couple of hours ago I tried to add a payment method, PayPal, to Facebook so I can launch my ads. When I tried to add my PayPal account, it asked me for my creditcard details. This is a problem for two reasons:

1) I'm 16, I can't have a creditcard.
2) Creditcards are rarely used in the Netherlands, so I don't think my parents have them (in case they do, there's no point in adding it since the PP acc is on my name)

I got enough money on the account, so that's not a problem.

Does anyone know how I can solve this problem?

Add a bank account to your paypal, that should work. A payment schedule, as you make with FB, wont work with just balance, that only works for incidental payments

I think your issue is that facebook does not accept "echecks," which is how a PayPal account without a credit card pays. If your PayPal account only has a bank account, than its going to pay facebook with an "echeck." But, echecks can "bounce." So, some online merchants wont accept that method.

Thanks, I'll try that.

@ZlatanTheGod may have a suggestion for you.
I'd love to hear it :)

So adding a bank account to my PP won't work?

if your looking for vcc free entropay works well.

You can link your checking account directly to your Facebook account most of the time. Using paypal requires a credit or debit card. Prepaid cards tend to get denied by Facebook as well, even if it is attached to Paypal.

Not sure if that will work, FB has proven to be smarter than that.

Thanks for your answer. Do you mean bank account with checkings account?

Guys, can't I just try to call them tomorrow and ask them to remove the creditcard requirement? Or is Facebook forcing them to require a creditcard?

Facebook requires a way to bill you. You don't need a debit or credit card to link your bank account; however, if you have a checking account with online banking, they will accept that.

OP - You can attach VCC (Virtual Credit Card) with your paypal to launch your ads over FB?

Use Virtual credit card

If I were you I would sign up under my parents name though. My PayPal account just got blocked and I will have to buy fake passport picture now to somehow get my money back from PayPal, because I didn't use my real details.
It could be that I lost 700$.

Not sure. What date of birth did you submit at registration of paypal?

My parents didn't give me permission to sign up under their name.

I'm 16, I submitted that I'm 22.

So guys, if I understeand correctly, all I have to do is use a virtual creditcard? Any suggestions for me? Also, can Facebook for some reason deny certain VCC's?
