Paypal Dispute Resolution Process | Question

I've found a guy out here who offered me his service for reviews and once I transferred money to his Paypal he stopped replying to my texts.

He is not replying to PM almost 24 hours.

I'm getting worried that something might have hep...and I was just scammed by this person.

I'll be probably waiting for 72 hours at a minimum before informing of my intention to shitlist him.

The question I wanted to ask you guys how long it takes from Opening a Paypal dispute to getting money back to my account and if it's at all possible..

Read up on Paypal policies regarding disputes for virtual items, or money sent as a gift. Use that info to dispute in your favor if necessary. But maybe the guy has some stuff to do, good to wait and stay calm 24 hours isn't too long.

You can create dispute in few mins and you will have enough time to make a dispute. Dont worry about that.

It depends on how exactly you sent the money. If you paid for goods and services, you're eligible for the buyer protection. If it was sent as a personal/gift payment, you aren't, but even in that case, if you paid with an attached credit card, you can do a chargeback with the help of your credit card issuer.
The dispute process i think takes around a week, the chargeback process is longer than that.

Wait a bit more and if nothing happens, open a SL thread.
You have 90 days after the transaction to open a dispute on PayPal, so you won't run out of time soon.

thanks for the anwer, I'll wait a little longer..

If you paid with Paypal protect (goods and services) then you are pretty much good. Even more if you it is a digital product. You can make a Paypal dispute and then bring it up to a claim if they don't answer. It is very hard for a merchant to win claims for digital goods.

Also if you paid with your credit card you can also go that route and most of the time if you dispute with your credit card, Paypal gives you the win.
