PayPal Account Banned? Congratulations!

Patrick111, i see Paxum in your list.

I used this service and have mixed feelings.

Got my first payment their some years ago and ordered a Mastercard, paid for it but never got it.

I think i contacted them 10-15 times about it and they said "We have many orders you will get it"..

Never got it, and no money back.

These small things makes me not trust a company.

Hi, yeah, I have not used all of them on this list, not even close. So, it's just a list to be as thorough as possible. Thanks!

I will leave an unpopular tip for you guys.

Avoid payment gateways that operate on "instant approval", "get started now", etc...this includes Stripe, PayPal and some of the major payment processors used.

I will explain: if you want to sell on Stripe, just create an account, fill in your details, verify your identity and you are all set. This takes less than an hour and you are ready to sell.

The problem with that: they don't analyze your site. It is all automatic, fast and supposedly simple. After a few dozen sales, depending on the niche/type of your site, you get an email saying that your money is withheld because the processor does not support your high-risk business model, including things like SMM, dropshipping and several other popular business types on BHW.

What to do then? It's boring, tedious and time-consuming. But it's better if you fill out all the data, answer all the questions they'll ask about your site, and get 100% approved at a payment processor that it takes a week or two to get your account fully approved and verified to start selling.

That way, your business model will be immediately disapproved or approved, and you will avoid money retention problems. Some examples of payment gateways that require submission of documents + additional details about your site + extra questions + submission of invoices, etc. are Ocean Payment, Paymentwall, 2Checkout, etc.

If you want something long term, consider spending a few days and not just a few hours to build up a really solid account with a long term payment gateway.

And that's where I come into the mix.

I specialize in high risk merchant accounts.

Unfortunately most people are solopreneurs & don't make enough for a processor to even bother with anything under $5-10k min. per month.

Yes, same, i used PayPal first, like everybody else, because thats the one of the biggest mainstream PaymentProcessor.

I encountered lot of BS like you. Then i moved to Stripe.. I have to say that Stripe has the same BS tecnique like PayPal. I hate Stripe, even more than PayPal.

From my experience, whats worked the best for me and smoothly, Was Payoneer (i loved this the most) and Wise.

Why do you hate Stripe more than PP? LOL

I can't STAND PP. I only have them because you have to if you want to do ANYTHING online even just to pay staffers.

They are a scam company & always have been. I haven't researched lately, but they've had at least 2 class actions since 2004.

The stories I've heard over the years & what I experienced years ago (they sided with a scammer over me) is terrible.

Payoneer doesn't allow American accounts & I only use it to pay staffers the odd time & I have to pay a min. of $25 which is nuts.

PP has so much power, than they can stop any of these companies who try to compete with them from moving forward.

That's what they did with one company I supported decades ago (I can't remember their name & the name changed as well) who used to be great & then went downhill after PP blocked them from continuing business.

Paypal is a joke, Stripe is even worse, got three accounts closed while running a full legit registered company in a western european country. And believe me, you can NOT fck the tax office here if you wanted to.
Just check out some well known review websites and also specialized merchant account websites to see the horrible reviews about Stripe.
They close dozens and dozens of accounts each day and do you really think all those account holders do something shady??? Many even post their website or company in the reviews to show the fact they are registered and have a legit chamber of commerce registration number.

All of the payment processors I see on BW are all the same cr@p list again and again. Even if you make only 5K per month you CAN get a merchant account from any of the REALLY good payment processors in western europe, not those shitty US based payment processors.

The only requirement is that you are either a sole proprietor at minimum or even better a fully incorporated company, which doesn't cost much btw.
Those merchant account companies have MUCH better security and fraud checking systems in place than those jokers like PP or Stripe or 2CO.
They will NOT close your account that easily but you do need to keep the 1.5% chargeback and refund ratio at check.
But with the companies I am talking about they almost always WIN a chargeback for you, especially from US based customers.
For some reason in the USA a chargeback is considered a legitimate way of getting you money back instead of asking for a refund.
That is being very much frowned upon with the merchant account companies I have accounts with so they provide all the proof needed and win your case. According to my own account statistics for example over 90% of chargebacks are proven FRAUD done by the buyer.

If you want LONG TERM piece of mind than register your company first, get your ID and papers notarized and apply with a BIG european merchant account provider and you will be happy and after that you will think of PP and Stripe as some disease.

Thank you for the heads up!
The biggest takeaway here is to "never settle" and always keep looking to have at least one or two more steady alternatives to Stripe and PayPal, and at best, European payment processors.

Combine 3-5 payment processors in your checkout page and make sure crypto is one of these. Problems solved, hopefully!

I agree with you @ep2002

i stop using paypal too, any services that cant be paid with debit card or bitcoin (crypto) i dont use it.

PayPal's popularity has declined recently and even their stock price is going down. They've been cracking down harder and banning accounts like crazy for no reasons. They have non existent support system and their algo is flawed. They will ban you even if you fart when using their platform. Paypal sucks.

Puck FayPal. They locked $14K across all my accounts and said I can have it in 180 days. On day 179 they withdrew it to themselves and told me when I tried to get it back, they said it was "the cost of investigating your accounts"

Like seriously? I have never heard about this. So weird. Sorry for those losses. I'm glad tou moved on and away from PayPal.

Oh I am still using PayPal, just under different people's ID LOL. but I never keep $$ in there for long.

Do you have any recommendations we can work with? We're currently using GoURL and they hold the money till 0.001 BTC, With BTC value going up there has been no change in minimum withdrawal.
Gourl is bs .try Coinbase commerce . So amazing. Has wp plugin

Agreed with your points.
How about getting a US partner just to fulfill this requirement somehow. Maybe have a semi-partnership with a US guy and give them a % cut (e.g 5%) on your earnings in the first 3 months. After then, the contract maybe terminated as per your agreements. They won't be on your account or money even from day 1. The purpose would be just to fill your application, make a few gains (3 months gone by and piuuuw, vanish them into thin air as agreed). Lol

To keep things a bit semi-formal, you may want to have them sign an MOU or similar doc with you, for this purpose.
Just my thoughts. What do I know?

Again, not a legal advice tho. That's up to you.

WOW, that's fucking terrible.

This is why I always say, NEVER keep even one penny in your account, always withdraw it the day you get the money.

Sorry to hear. sigh

You can get a US MID (nothing is ever guaranteed of course), you just have to get a US corp & that also requires a US address.

I have contacts for that.

Like the other guy said, it is a lot harder to get a US MID than an EU one.

What can I say, it is what it is, they control the world & unfortunately always have.

Most of your consumers are (or at least were) in the US unless you are marketing to just one specific country in another part of the world.
