Paypal -70$

Of course they dont come and track you down, why do you think we have a 7 trillion deficit?

$-70, sucks but you probably won't be in trouble. I'm not sure what the minimum is that they'll send collectors after you as well as potentially negative marks on your credit report. Not sure if you said where you are from though so the credit report may not even be an issue.

Odds are they will sell your debt to a collection agency who will then start hassling you and dinging your credit (sometimes can happen a couple years after the fact and can follow you for seven years).

$70 is not enough to have anyone try to collect it. Make sure your PP account is not connected to a bank account else they will pull money from that account

My case is different.
I opened a new hotmail account and tried to register in PP.
It said already registered... I was like WTF, hotmail id was just created!
Then I went to password retrival process and gained access to PP.
For my surprise, its balance was $-500. I contacted customer care and told them about the issue and reply comes.... "The id has been in our system for 2.5 years. Since you have -ve balance, please fund your account."

I thought its not worth to have any more conversation, so I left that ID.
6-7 PP id were created from the same IP. Could it be PP was trying to penalize for that?

You should be fine. Just try to put $70 back into your paypal so that paypal can get the money. Leaving it go for a while may cause problems. You can probably pay small sums too, like $10 here, $10 there until it's paid off.

I'm commenting if only to gain a subscription to this thread. :)

You were fvcked up by the buyer. This is a big problem of ebay sellers.

... :/

sounds like here are bunch of people that don't offer refund in a case of problem :/

-> books of paypal will be not put away. i think - very soon they will start working with debt collectors and then you will see very, very nice bills for their services :/

so, be a man of a word and pay your debts or fight for the opened case

If the case was lost by you because you did a fraud or something you might end up in legal problems, but not for $70. I think PP relies on the fact that you will use your account later and cover the debt. Ebay gurantees for the Paypal payers so they must have their money back.
Suggestion, pay your $70, so you won't end in hundreds with taxes and penalties included
Especially if you are from East Europe

Expect FBI to come to you soon. Get ready with 70$ so that you can give it to them. They will clear all Debt of US with your 70$ and again economy of the US will be on fire

$70 is not a significant amount so to say cops will be knocking on your door is very unrealistic! They're not debt collectors, and PP wouldn't send them for $70!

And this mean that i can make a new ebay + Paypal account each week and make $100-200 frauds and nobody will care? I doubt....

They're coming to get you

So I sold an item on ebay, took all the money from PayPal, but the buyer opened a case and money was taken from my account, so now I have -70$ in my PayPal. Can I expect cops knocking my door?

I doubt it. The bigger question is will it affect your credit score.

charge backs could happen , may affect yr credit ratings /report , is yr account limited yet???

No cops mate.
Well... Maybe if you do smt else illegal and your neighbors report it ;)
Or if you call them and tell them to su*k you bal*s or smt... Opportunities are endless ;)

It could effect the credit rating only if paypal account was in your real name and they had your SSN.

so If I sell 1000$ worth item on ebay and seller's pays me and I don't ship it means I have stealed paypal's 1000$? not customers bcs I know they are getting money back from paypal....

So fucking idea :D:D
