So I sold an item on ebay, took all the money from PayPal, but the buyer opened a case and money was taken from my account, so now I have -70$ in my PayPal. Can I expect cops knocking my door?

So, practically you say that you can fuck with paypal like this?
Does the other side, that reported you, get their money or he has to wait that you put some credit on your PP acc?

I dont think you can do it too often and it also depends on the amount.
If its like 5k they might track you for that. The end buyer basically got his money back which meant for my account to have a negative balance.
Buyers can get free stuff like that because papypal will side with them and return the money to them without your consent and just leave you with a negative to pay.
If you have all the proof that you were legit and the buyer f**ked you then you should'nt worry even if they decide to take you to court.

negative balance will be equated back to normal once new funds arrive in your paypal. happens all the time to them they never expect to hunt down these accounts even if its 100k in there.
