I do them very similar to how @splishsplash does it. Though, I have my own way of doing things.

In short, you want major keywords as the top of the silos and you want supportive articles linking to them. Internal linking is crucial in silos. In the end, the top of the silos rank mostly due to the topic relevance and building links is how you take it to the top.

UPDATE!!!

Ok guys, so Ive been working on finding nice keywords to rank and what my competition is doing.

So, right now I'm working on setting up the keywords to silo everything and then focus on writing the content.

Ill probably end up with 70-90 pages and at around 1500 avg words per article, I will probably end up with around 100k-130k words in the site for this "subniche".

Later, I will focus on some backlinks and continue with other subniches in the same site. In the end I want to get around 500k-700k words, fully siloed content ranking and bringing the dough $$$.

Making the content will probably take me 4-6 months, the backlinks will probably take me other 3-4 months and the planning of everything should take me a month or so. So, in the end, prob next year, this site will be at its peak and will prob be making around 4k-7k a month and prob sell for around 150k-200k or so.

For 600k words at 6 months, thats around 100k a month or 3.4k words daily, which to be honest is NOTHING! Im putting 12-15 hours daily on this, so I will probably churn around 6k words daily minimum. At 6 months, thats over a million words!

I know this will pay off as I see affiliates in the serps, so if they are going after it, there's bread to be made.

Anyway guys, Ill update once I have the structure defined and start getting to write.

UPDATE!!!

Im almost done with the keywords. Almost done planning everything and ready to start writing. Today I want to finish that and start tomorrow friday writing.

Ive been sleeping at day and working at night due to the heat sensation man. Like at night its really peaceful then at morning (9am) I go to sleep and wake up again on the evening.

Anyway guys, I expect to finish this first subniche by the end of march and do other 3-4 months building content before focusing on backlinks and building my pbn. I expect to have 3-4 subniches written by june-july, then end of the year focus on ranking them by building backlinks. By then i expect to have around 400k-500k words of content and ranking for longtails before a single backlink is built.

By this time next year I expect it to be ranking and making some serious dough. If i can do at least 2k a month per niche, that would be 8k-10k a month and then EASILY sell the site for 300k-400k.

Im going to sleep right now but i will wake up at prob 12am-1am and continue working.

UPDATE!!!

So, in the last couple of days, I focused on setting a BST and will probably take around a month to get it approved. (Not promotion, just updating what's happening).

So, today I will end up arranging the keywords and working on the silos. Probably tomorrow or later today I will start creating content.

It's 3:58 pm, so let's see if I can finish with the keywords today and start working on the content tomorrow to start a fresh month writing content!

So I took a typing test at https://typing-speed-test.aoeu.eu/?lang=en (not my site, obv) and it says I'm at 60 Words Per Minute, which is around 1 word per second hehe.

So, if I dedicate 12 hours typing at an average 50 wpm pace, which I think is good, I could probably do 36,000 words daily. I think I can achieve at least 30,000 words daily, which at 12 hours is 41 words per minute, which I think it's really good. At this pace, I think a 200k words silo I could do it in around 7-9 days, which is great!

That means that I can do 10 silos in around 3 months, which is enough to index and start ranking the first silos. Then the next 3-6 months I will have to focus on backlinks and the whole thing.

If each silo managed to make $1k a month, that would be $10k a month and prob sell it around $300k.

2 million words should make some money, let's see how much and see what happens when I start working with building links.

UPDATE!!!

So, yesterday I started writing my articles and, as expected, couldn't go as fast as I wanted hehe

1. It gets too hot sometimes at evening so I change my sleep cycle to sleep at day and work at night. Im waking up at around 6pm then sleep at around 9am the next day lel.

2. I have to figure out the niche ahha As it's a niche I don't know much about, I have to read the competition, learn and write according to that.

Though, right now I have 1 article of at least 2.7k words, I will get it done to 6k words and get back to sleep even though its 1pm right now.

I think I can do 1-3 articles a day, depending on length. The first article was 6k words due to it being the main silo, so it needs to cover what the smaller silos talk about.

I think for the smaller silos I can do each article at around 1.5k words, which is more than enough as the competition works at 1k words or so.

I think weekly I could do around 30k-40k words, so a complete siloed niche would take me around 3 weeks, which is great! At 120k each niche, that's a great goal. The good thing is that all the silos are related one way or another, so the whole site will be a tough competitor to take down

I expect to work on at least 5 silos before I see any real income. I think in the next 6-8 months I will start ranking without links and as I continue creating content, more and more content will be indexed and ranking. I think this site will be good at 500k-600k words (5 silos) which then I will start building links to it and outranking my competition. I think that by the end of the year, this site will start getting traction and really start making moves at the first page in google.

Holy Sheez guys! Finally I finished my 6k words article which I started yesterday. Man, it was tough!

I am happy that I saved around $240 in this one single article @$4/100 words!

I'm happy that other articles are around the 1k-1.5k words, so all of them will be a lot easier to write, but man, writing a 6k words article is TOUGH! Even more when you are not paid right away hahaha

I know this will pay off big time in the near future, but until then, I have to grind all the way to riches!

So, I will go for a slightly different approach.

What I will do is focus on the big and small silos with handwriting and then I will work with the tiny and ultra tiny silos with spun content. Like a hybrid. Will be very interesting to see what happens.

Well, nowadays tons of major sites are doing silos.

Usually at the url level like, domain.com/category/sub-category/info-product or soemthing very similar to that.

Though, there are also magazine-style sites that do tons of posts like domain.com/random-best-post just to target tons of keywords not mattering about rankings. Though, I prefer ranking a site like the url silo above to make it more relevant to your niche.

For example, I used to have a clash of clans site, and a silo was something like:

domain.com/clash-of-clans/hacks/cheats/gems-no-survey

or something fr the like, and it ranked PRETTY well across the whole keywords. It made me around $60k or so in a few 8 or so months, so yea, it works, but it takes time and dedication.

There are tons of threads in here about silos, find them, read them and apply knowledge learned. That's it!

This is a great goal, I will watch and wait for the results from you, wish you success

So, today I woke up and decided not to sell some twists and instead release them for free here in bhw, but it seems the mods thought about it as fraud

So, today I will continue working on my site.

The plan still goes on. Work and finish this first silo by the end of the month and next couple months work on silos. Then focus on backlinks for a few months, then on silos and so on.

I expect to be ranking by the end of the year, also the first post I made hasn't been indexed yet lol.
