Hello guys,

I bought last year a domain and wanted to use them but I had other priorities and didn't used this domain.

I thought I should put them on SEDO to get maybe a sale because the domain name is pretty nice.

I redirected the nameservers to SEDO and parked the domain for around 7 month there.

Now I want to use the domain again because it would be nice for my new project and the domain is still indexed in google but with advertisment notices like this site is for sale you can buy it...

Sedo also runs some ads on this parked domain.

Now I want to know if this parking with ads hurts the SEO if I want to build my new project on this domain?

Well if your inner pages arent indexable - thats bad
If your site title and meta/main page content is not indexable - thats bad
I didn't setup a site with content yet. Just asking in advance (don't want to waste time).

But this was a clean domain. If parking (with ads) doesn't hurt SEO than it should be fine I think.

I don't think parked domain will have any effect on SEO - if it's an empty site, then it's an empty site, and that's about it. If it has quality content, quality links, and a fair amount of social signals, then that will definitely get that site better authority and ranking potential in the process.

It is not an issue, good site script (without errors) and good content will give you what you want !!
