Panic Disorder sucks

Sucks bro :( hope it clears soon..Keep cool when NI are slamming Slovakia <3

I heard that panic disorder can get freaky sometimes, I was wondering if I can switch my fatigue health problems to this :alcoholic

Maybe you can try meditation, might help.

That stuff is real bad HaRRo. I'm recovering from the same thing. Cutting back on weed and booze helps. Also exercise and St. John's Wort herb.

holy fuck, I have it too.

And yes, it really sucks big time.

P.S: Sent you a PM. Have a look.

oh that is sad to hear.Just be calm during such intense anxious situations harro.Take care.Do you do meditation?

Medication and sports was the perfect solution for me...that shit is crazy

Harro,

Since I was a child I have had panic attacks. The room feels like it's shrinking, there just is no place where you feel at home.

Taking meds seems to help sometimes, but they don't really help you get over your social disorder that has been brought on from years of suffering from the panic attacks.

The last few years for me has been a little better, not because I take new meds or anything, but because I'm starting to deal with my disorder myself. Trying not to let it control my life anymore.

It's a long road, I hope you find your way.

dearac may i know why it occurred to you?I have heard a lot about these panic attacks but i could not find the cause anywhere.Sorry if i had asked a very personal question.thanks in advance :)

Dude, thanks for being a champ, blowing my mind and putting money in my pocket. You're huge!

http://www.emofree.com

This link looks like new age bullshit but it helped me to stop boozin and bongin! :D
3.5 months for booze and and 2.5 years for weed one day at a time. No AA though.
I could almost taste those two stouts you had in front of you in your photo. Yummm....but NO!!!! lol

Kudzu herb cuts your drinking in 1/2 or less.
Scullcap thickens your nerve coverings (myelin) and chills you out.
Germans use the natural St. John's Wort like Americans use Prozac. Put you in a good mood!
Valerian helps you sleep sound and you're more calms the next day.
Goji berries self correct your body and energize you without raising your blood pressure like Ginseng does.

Good Luck Dude!

I used to suffer myself and I decided to cure it the hard way. For example I would have a panic attack on the plane just thinking about having a panic attack... What if I have a panic attack and I have nowhere to go and I just freak out and die on the plane. Or I would have it when I'm away somewhere in an unknown city... I got over this by purposely getting myself into situations that would usually trigger an attack rather than trying to avoid these situations. It took years but it was well worth it. I'm 90% back to normal now.

Well I'm really not sure. I was born with spina bifida. With most people with spina bifida comes hydrocephalus(a build up of fluid on the brain).

So I guess my embarrassment of being disabled, and all the other unique problems that come with it played a big part in these attacks.

It really took me a long time to come to terms with not being like everybody else. And that is what seemed to help me get over these attacks. Not that I don't have my bad days, I do. I can now at least look people in the eyes and that was something I never did.

I would say the main thing that causes my attacks is the hydrocephalus though.

I just wanted to tell harro that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

@Harro

Im a psychology student and have done much research on this issue.Just to share some ideas you can do.

Basically, you should ask yourself how long did u have such disorder. What causes it, stress, life event or so on. If you have such disorder for more than two years,it means things are getting severe and you should hit a counselor or a psychologist.

They will probably treat you with psychotherapy which varies. Some may be just dialogues and even hypnosis. The main focus is interaction and finding the problem in our brain known as id in psychology terms.

Never go for drugs known as anti depressants.Drugs are not the only solution.Besides, you will be dependent on drugs as time pass.Drug is not the BEST solution.

Consider having more interaction with friends and families.Tell them about your feelings and problems.Sex is another alternative too.

Take a rest and consider holidays.Releasing your stress and hectic work would be a good way to handle panic disorder.

Considering a situation that causes panic disorder,a good way would be conditioning. For this you need to find out what worries you and what causes your panic disorder. For example, you have fear on dark. You try to condition yourself in dark.

Reduce on substance such as drugs, alcohol, cigarettes and caffeine. This might help a little.

Lastly, the best solution is still to meet a qualified psychologist or a counselor for their professional opinions.

Good luck.

I have only had a few panic attacks, but I know a few of my friend who frequently get them. I started meditating and it worked for me as well as my friends. There is no real way to explain meditation but you should give it a try man.

I fuckin hate panic / anxiety. Shit used to rock me so bad when I was like 22 - 25. It still creeps back every now and again. I dunno what your preferred poison is, but a Klonopin and 15 minutes laying on the bed would chill me out every time. Weed/Booze just made it worse for me.

My Dears; Be Brave!!! Panic Disorders is nothing, if you manage and control it well. How! Whenever you feel it, close your eyes, but in a very well-lightened room, then try to remember the happiest memories with your mother, father, brother, or sister. Second, stop all medications. Third, if you can not do the above, whenever you feel it, leave your pleace immediately, go to the nearby park, try to talk to any one, or even offer help to anybody.

sorry to hear that bro.

its a sh1tty thing to suffer from. my friend had full attacks that at first they thought were full on fits / needed to be rushed to hospital etc.

its becoming more common what causes it?

hope you find a way to manage it.

this might sound silly but golf does wonders for my stress I feel sick if I dont play / get in fresh air for a while. I went through a period where I needed to drink frequently (not heavily) but a can or two each night to help relax. I had to cope with bereavement and some other bad stuff.

:(
