Panel views: Does source matter?

Hello everyone,

I've been using different panels for a while now, getting good traction on new channels several times and I just now noticed that I always go for "natural looking" view sources like browse/suggest/search. Recently, most of these views have dropped for me (might just be the panel, but the question / interest still remains) so I asked myself if that source of views even matters, and if it does, are the ones i bought the best choice?

I saw more and more people say to just go for high retention external views, and while I can definitely confirm that high retention is a top priority - I would've thought that external views are one of the worst choices, just by instinct?

Nope, direct is when an user enters url directly. External is when an user clicks on a video url on FB, Reddit etc.
Yep, suggested and browser are the best especially with impressions.
 
Yup ! Source does matter , High retention + Suggested videos most of the time gives good results.

So the order of priority is direct < external < search / browse / suggest I'd guess?

Another thing, you mentioned impressions. Are those possible to achieve via panel? Or do you mean just natural impressions from the algorithm?

Got it, thank you very much! It's hard to find an affordable panel for this with reliable non-drop, HR views sadly.
 
Suggested views are good, but they are mostly dropped because they are manipulated traffic

In the case of external views, there are fewer drops or non-drop services

If you want to rank your video even if the views are deleted, you can use Suggested view services

Use external traffic views if you want views to stick around

Yes, source of view matters. YouTube prefers views that come from real users who are genuinely interested in watching the video. This is why views from browse/suggest/search are so valuable. These views indicate that people are finding your videos on their own.

that makes sense, thank you! explains why those types of views combined with high retention are such a well kept secret - sadly.

guess it's time to go deep dive and test panels again

If I buy Suggested traffic and the number of views drops, can the video still be ranked?

Yeah
If you actually look at some of the videos at the top
there's a lot of videos that have low views but have an unusual amount of likes or low views and they're getting exposure at the top.

Yes. Best is suggested or YT features. Try to stay away from external/direct if you're attempting to improve video ranking, subsequently showing more users you're video
 
Panels do help, but would only recommend on new channels, not old, if old then only if the accounts been sitting for a few years.(3 months at best)

YouTube loves comments+retention(length of view)+search.

Length of view doesn't have to be 2 hours,

Panels hate long videos, but if you can get a network that pays viewers to watch your campaign then that's the best panel as the ip's unique.

Absolutely, source does matter, the very fact that youtube can differentiate this is shown in our analytics, example - external views, browse features, suggested views etc.

The only 2 types of sources you need to focus on are suggested and browse features to get high views and so when you go to an smm panel, opt for hq services like suggested views, real and active views (rav) or even native ads.

There are great smm panels with hq services here in the bhw marketplace.
