Page blocked from sharing links

They don't want you exiting Facebook, thus links are BAD. I bet if you share the exact same content inside FB it'll be ok. It's not about the content, it's about keeping everyone in FB.
Yep, same thing with YT. I was answering a thread the other day where a guy was complaining about his click conversions from YT. I told him it's because he's trying to optimize clicks on a page that's already been optimized by one of the largest corporations in the world to keep visitors on the page. The deck is stacked.

FB obviously reads this forum and works to close the loopholes. When someone posts a thread like "I'm making $200 by posting to X groups", FB immediately takes note.

It wouldn't surprise me. Honestly, it would be a pretty smart move on their part. You'll either pay someone to sit there and figure out why a certain page is bleeding traffic, or pay someone to hang around here, figure out the methods and plug up thousands of holes at once.

Google, FB and others surely have people here 24x7.

Let me tell you guys something... Facebook was created by hijacking an entire college network... They don't like to see you making money with their platform, they even charge you to reach your public... Its ridiculous, i recommend using twitter or g+, seriously... Last time i made money with fb they terminated my account.

Same thing happen to me. First several of my pages got blocked for 7 days. Now some of them are blocked for month !!! Worst thing I dont know what caused it and fb wont even tell me. Did someone figure it out ?

removing articles is not a good sign and will end up with a page block in terms of publish.
try to identify what was wrong with the articles..more likely wording within the title

Anyone has their page unblocked from the temporary 7 days block?
Please answer, are you continuing with the same tempo?
Any caution advice?

I'm not any big Facebook guru, but try reaching out to your fans asking them to like your "new" page. ie,,,,start again

I was going through the Facebook page guidelines and saw this "F. When sharing a third party link from your Page, don’t edit any elements of the post preview."

Does this mean you can't change the thumbnail, headline or description of a link?

If that's the case then why is it an option? Can someone in ths chat shed some light?

In my opinion, there are probably two causes to this:
  • I've always believed that Facebook assigns a quality score to pages based on a number of factors, which probably include the types of content posted, interactions, and the quality of the page's followers. I have no proof of this, but I believe this score must exist, it would be silly not to. They calculate a user's interest in your page (Affinity Score), so why wouldn't they attempt to gauge overall page quality?
  • The overall quality of your page's average post.
Based on those points, a page that posts clickbait more often would probably have more actions taken against them, and a powerful page from a highly reputed brand can probably get away with a lot more than another page with lower quality followers, ad spend, etc. Of course, these are just my beliefs, but they would account for what you're seeing.

Don't believe for a second that Facebook cares about the number of likes you have. Facebook knows the game of pumped up, low-quality page likes. Heck, they sell them through their advertising platform. There is no question in my mind that they are scoring pages based on followers, post-quality etc.

Interesting...

Can anyone give an update on how their page has been acting after the link sharing block has been lifted?

10 pages have a block for sharing link for one month
but i see that that i can share links from other pages

do you know how can i automated this ? share automatically from other pages ?

I just signed up on this forum because I was Googling around due to having been hit with this issue on a couple of my pages as well, one having 374K followers and the other having 320K followers. We post 2-3 times per hour, random news links from things happening around the world.

What I have determined is the blocks are the result of Facebook's spam filters being triggered. The reason why is anyone's guess because I have 3 other pages totaling around 2.3 million and none of those pages have been hit with these blocks, even while posting the same amount of times per hour (2-3).

You're probably wondering how I've come to this conclusion so, keep reading.

On Friday, I tried to post a link to one of the pages that had been unblocked on Thursday evening. I tried posting the same article 3 times and the article would disappear from Facebook as soon as I refreshed my browser. It wasn't until I edited the permalink by removing a few words that article was not removed from the page. This tells me that Facebook's spam filters detected the link had already been shared previously and thereby disallowed it from appearing in the newsfeed again.

Here is further proof of my theory. These articles hit a page of 374,522 followers. We have posted them a couple of times before but because they always performed so well we posted them again, only this time...with significantly different results, as you can see with the reach on each post. One thing to also notice is how long the links had been on the page for no more reach than they were allowed.

(I have removed the website url from the images so no one will think that I'm just trying to advertise my website.)

Unlike froufrou mentioned above, the only thing I can share to the blocked pages are memes and videos. I cannot share any links whatsoever, no matter the source.

In response to Robertkett, the same two pages were blocked from sharing links for 7 days and the blocks were lifted on Thursday by 7pm. By Saturday evening, the pages had been hit with a block again and this time the duration is 30 days.

What SEO mentioned above concerning Facebook scoring pages based on a number of different factors could very well be true and if so, that would explain the reason why my other 3 pages haven't been hit with blocks. If that does tend to happen, I will let everyone know.

I have appealed the block, however, I have yet to get a response. My appeal message was as follows:

I have reviewed the policies and nothing we post violates any of the Facebook page policies. We strive to follow Facebook's guidelines and provide a good user experience for our followers. The last thing we EVER want to do is run afoul of Facebook guidelines.

If the block cannot be lifted, please give us a reason for why this block was implemented. We don't post clickbait, fake news or misleading headlines. We have been posting news links 2-3 times per hour.

Please review this incident and reconsider. We don't know what we have done wrong so if someone could at least tell us the corrections we need to make, we will implement these changes immediately.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
Should I get a response from Facebook, I will let everyone know.

i can share link post from unblock page to block page if i uncheck the "Include original post "
