Fast losing any hope that this balls up is going to rectified!
You see, bullshit paid advertising is not the same as correct paid advertising. There were people that were running adwords just to see if keywords bring searches. I used to have adwords and got banned because I tested keywords like "lose fat" with ads saying stuff like "Hey chubby, get more fat with this kentucky fried chicken" and stuff (didn't want ads to be clicked). Also, I used to see ads where actual VOODOO SPELLS are advertised for women who need help seducing men! This bullshit had to be banned.
Lame ads also affect user experience, and google doesn't want it. If you advertise correctly its good, and yes, I do believe this is pure forcing of PPC, where PPC ads are often more relevant than the actual organic search results (MOAR clicks for google)

I noted that my wordpress sites now ranked all worst than my joomla or .php sites.
Anyway, this is kinda dumb. For example, my niche is health, now always appearence first webmed cause google consider it a great site. This change in google will make that a few sites dominates entire niches.

I did not find this myself but seen it on another SE news source.
Look for "bad credit personal loan" looks for a site about "Mold" take screen shots and mark your dates and use this as a great example of Google missing the boat.
Hidden footer text, keyword stuff....but damn that is a nice link profile...clean, clean , clean.

That's interesting. Maybe because WP is so quick and has a lot of thin sites/blogs whereas joomla or custom CMS are generally bigger more authoritative sites. I've seen WP sites take a big hit but I'm not quick to draw any conclusions from it, it could just be a coincidence.

There're shit is all over the place still. I would not even consider drawing anything yet - its needs time for the Cutt to be 'culled' and replaced with a sensible member of staff whom respects the value of their business....simple, sit tight, create some decent content and watch the fun unfold!
