I am gone...my sites lost rank from everywhere
what is that, can you explain?
Thanks Ramsweb. It was definately hit by the over-optimization update (my site is aged and doesn?t dance very much). Homepage dissapeared completely for ALL keywords. Some of my new inner pages (without backlinks) remained in the SERPs, while others went down -50 and -100. I didn't want to do anything unusual like removing what I thought was over-optomization (alt tags on all pictures containing some form of the main keyword etc) in case it highlighted that I was trying to force my come-back. The only thing I did was post a blog post like normal as if nothing had happened. I check before dinner I was still nowhere, checked just afterwards and was back. There must be some sort of manual/semi-manual review pocess going on and if everyone comes back then I wouldn't consider it a long shot if this was all to scare black-hatters into calming down their game...
SuperLinks, you make some good points. The massive fluctuations may have everything to do with their parked domain classifier. I'm sure they are working around the clock to resolve the problems or are already pushing out to all the datacenters if they fixed it. Unfortunately, my research is not showing parked domains ranking. But many of the top ranked sites are so thin that they could indeed be grouped into a parked domain class.

roflmaowow, crazy serps now. Search for "python hosting", and look what's #1. A little thin on content, but very useful site, and a good user experience.. Ok?
