That's so funny, especially the part about pressing undo to fake progress...He's still stuck at his desk though.

He should watch out that they don't have monitoring software in their office. They use that for my schools exams.

Every credit to him , this is true wealth sharing on a world wide scale.
All this is, is micro outsourcing. Big Corp does this on a grand scale everyday of the week.

Kudos to him, if it works and he's getting paid - why not.

Reminds me of a post from stackoverflow. A guy worked remotely and found a way to automate his job, which was checking some excel files. Instead of doing this stuff for almost a whole month, he did it in an hour or so. Afterwards, he manually added wrong data here and there, so it would be picked up by guys that reviewed his work. He spent the rest of his work hours playing with his child. Absolute legend.

edit: here's the post https://workplace.stackexchange.com...to-not-tell-my-employer-i-ve-automated-my-job

There used to be a coder at my previous job who always worked from home... after nearly 2 years the boss (and I don't know how) found out that he was outsourcing most of his work from Indians while sitting at home playing games with his big dev salary. Needless to say he got fired, not because the job quality sucked. But because whenever an incident escalated because of a bug, he often couldn't fix the problem or even find out where the error came from. All this while it was supposed to be "his code". :) So ... in some cases It's smart to do this when there is no big responsibility on your shoulders, unfortunately, some take it to the next level lol.

Well, this is where the strategy as a whole crumbles a bit when you actually need to fix something quickly. Can't really do that when you did not do it yourself.

Depends on the projects I agree :) but if you find someone that keeps on doing a good job without needing changes... golden xD

That's hilarious. I've gotten lots of header graphics and viral blog graphics done on Fiverr. Lots of talented people there!

I know a women in the UK, who is IT manager for the company she works at, on a damn fine salary and works 3 days from home. She knows zilch about IT, and she pays a guy a retainer each month so she can outsource any issues. Crazy situation, but make hay and all that.....

On a related note: I constantly come across threads on Reddit where some dude just got a marketing job at a big company and is asking people basic questions about how to get started in online marketing.

Ideal market for "Outsource Your Job"
