Optimizing Old Blog Posts

I am working on redesigning one blog layout. There are older posts, not properly SEO optimized.
Should I go through all of these and optimize them now or it doesn't matter?

If they're bringing in traffic (check GSC), you could find keywords that people actually search for in GSC and optimize your article for that. Add pieces of content regarding those KWs

These articles aren't bringing much traffic, as they weren't SEO optimized (no keywords used, no meta description).
Is it worth the time to start optimizing them now?

I agree with this one. It happened to me, my old blog post's traffic increased almost twice just by updated the tittle and revised / edited 1 or 2 paragraphs.

Yes you should, find the keywords the post is already ranking for and pick a keyword to target when updating your post.

Although it may sound time-consuming, auditing, reviewing, and optimizing your old blog posts is
a perfect way to bring more traffic to your blogs (even your newer ones).

Yes, find the keywords that are relevant and update them with current trends by focusing the user intent, which will give you the best results.

You need to inspect the performance of the blog posts first. I would use Ubersuggest or Ahref to check the SERP, Organic KWs, and traffic analysis. I will then prioritize those that have some promising figures stats. Then later work on the others plus add some fresh new content.
