Optimization of UK Websites from India

Hello friends,

I am a SEO from India & i normally work for USA & India clients. recently i have got one client from UK & they want me to optimize there website for google.co.uk only. I have only worked for google.com & google.co.in. No idea about google.co.uk. I have good command in google.com & google.co.in. It would be a great learning experience for me if I'll get some success in this.

I need your help in this. Is there any specific terms i should follow in this. Please suggest me some tips which can help in this.

How can you take a client if you have no clue what to do? First you make sure you know how to do the job, second you search for clients in your field, duhh..

That's why anyone is SEO lately, "but only for directory submission" and so on. Ask forgiveness to your client, tell him you have no f... clue how to rank his site in .co.uk and tell him to choose another guy that knows his job. You will earn respect instead of swearing because you took his money and did nothing.

I am not so much expert but atleast give you some tips

1- Analyze your competitors according to google/co/uk

2- Check relevant Back links and try analyze his tech

3- Create Combination of Seo game (profile,forum,authority) Do follow back links

4- Continue build backlinks and if possible 1 to 2 Scrapbox blast

Techniques are same but do competitor analysis according to uk google search enigne

just work on the site as you are working for google.com serp.
Some differences:
preferable a UK hosting,
go to google webmaster tool and focus on UK.
Try to find great uk directories (just search for "powered by phpld" site:.co.uk)
Use all the tools what u use on other sites.

There are no secrets.

I would definitely like to see if you need someone to do a job for you, find one, pay him and to find out in the end that he has no idea what to do in order to get the job properly done, how would you react?
Second, maybe that person that hired him is losing money right as we speak and will definitely loose more if the OP has no clue on how to do the job.
Grrr, bad experiences in the past!
 
If you know how to do for .co.in then what's prob... Just replace .in with .uk in your strategy...

You should have pretty good idea now... lol Same holds for any geo specific...
 
If you confuse... I will explain few things...

1) country specific tld for site... for india .in will do better same holds true with .uk for uk

2) hosting in same country.... again uk hosting (indian hosting for indian site)

3) webmaster targeting.... target specific country

4) Get more links from same country based sites (either same tld or same country hosting)

Blah Blah Blah Blah..... you got idea... just change .in with .uk pretty simple

Actually that is a website from one of my friend from UK who can't spend money right now & he has no idea about website optimization. He told me help him in his website optimization & once he will start generating revenue then he will start paying me. That's y i decided to go for it & learn more about optimizing a website from uk so that from next time i can use this website as a proof for my UK clients....

Just to clear you guys... I am not earning any thing from my friends.. This project will be a good experience for me to learn & to take next projects from UK...

I asked this question just because i feel i would get some better tips.. But i was wrong.... I worked for n no of projects in India & USA but i never worked for UK client because i was not sure about the success so i decided to do this project for free... so that's y i wanted to know some tips... but here i found really diffrent ans......

Before taking clients errrr, friends, you could do this:

- create a .co.uk site, host it on a uk server
- optimise it
- do link building
- check rankings
- place it on 1st page on .co.uk
- place it on top 3
- now you can take uk clients.

Big-bada-boom!

Just do what you do for google.com - but target satellite sites with .co.uk TLD ...try and put up content on pages that are geographical to UK niche.. specifically local directories and business listings.. and maybe some local pligg sites (digg based clones) with .co.uk ..look around.

Why you people find race as a problem here. OP has good command over google.com and he has made some seo projects before.

He is just looking for some good tips from us rather he is not a noob.

Answer:

Start building your seo campaign. As many say backlinks, profile links, optimize the website and you can make it easily. Dont take the words from the people who put you back.
