Good Luck!
God Bless!
P.S.: If there are mistakes, then blame my town's electricity board for that because I am running only on my battery backup now. (The entire power is being shut down and it may come anytime before the next 1-8 hours.

. It's the light from the monitor I'm using, and of course it's 1:30 AM here right now! So blame those **** if you need to!
May this little writeup help you handsomely!
BTW, several other top Americans, Europeans and others want to work and are working with good Indian partners.
The following is of course not addressed to you, dear Sachin!
There is a great quality that India teaches us >>>
Don't do ego-boosting, let others 'boost' to others about your work, about what you are, and your reputation. Keep doing your work... No harm if other don't notice you, remember the land (we call it "mitti", "dharti", or Earth) is always looking at you with much Pride & Love in her dear Heart if you're doing a good work... and much more...

- Let your friend have a good niche specific to the needs of UK people (he may already be having that).
- Find which competitor is good in that niche (in Google.co.uk), and try to find what keywords he is using on his site. Note down those keywords, and try to search in Google.co.uk to find how strong he is in those SERPs for those KWs. Initially we don't want to beat him but we are going to emulate his success. There are various factors needed to cover to beat him so as the site is new, we will only emulate him. Select a handful of keywords.
- Do SEO Competition research and then do keyword research, preferably in MS (I have it and it has given me lot of help while working for my UK clients). Use UK for "Language Region".
- First do SEO Research with that website's name (actually the page url) to find what's making it so successful
- Find the strengths and weaknesses of that page which you want to beat, find the links -- do both PR Analysis as well as the Anchor Text Analysis. PR Analysis can be more important in our case, but Anchor Text Analysis is also important. The combination reveals a lot of his strategies. You can do both one after the other in the same window. You'll need to recreate those types of links (which are global types, btw and may come mostly from .coms. Don't worry about the Geo-specifics here but concentrate on good authority sites as well as other normal/ordinary sites too)
- Then do keyword research based on those top keywords. I am comfortable with the Phrase and absolutely no other factors like limiting the results. Let them come as many. It will be about 800 results and indicate which KWs are great. Use the best among them that suits your friends site. Also look for or add the site's domain name which of course should include a great keyword that identifies the niche absolutely (this is where you can properly decide on the website's permanent domain name to use, get it if available or get the next best which has good numbers in the research or ...use your SEO special knowledge).
- Get a good UK web hosting to host your site. As everything is new, of course you'll need more time to hit the jackpot, but if done properly, these fundamental steps will help you all the way
- Use relevant content and keep updating. Use G Analytics, get back-links, .edu links, do/no-follow... all sorts of good links, enter into G Maps, make good traffic come to you (targeted traffic), advertise, PPC (be careful) if necessary if the site is commercial in nature, get G trends, etc. etc. etc..... etc.)
- Make the site very attractive (according the niche requirements of course) include all the important pages. Use his photo and the team members' photos & credentials, on the Contact Us or any suitable page. Display the phone numbers etc. When people will be interested they will also find the site much trustworthy. Create a blog, a forum, a knowledge-base, etc. Give away some free items-free membership, some thing in limited-time nature, some incentives, etc. but these things aren't much necessary. Your other things mentioned above plus your on-page/off-page optimization ranks much higher on the list.
- Get listed in good directories (web directories, article submission sites, etc.)
- In UK, advertise through newspapers, etc. Make the name a household name. I know everything costs money, but these can be done later on too. So I am trying to give you everything.
- Then if you're (your client, actually) selling goods or services, give the best customer support. It counts a great deal, at least in UK.
- This can be called only the beginning... lol
- Of course, do almost all the above for other keywords and other successful pages that you want to compete with (not necessary to use the same competitor in all cases)...
Good Luck!
God Bless!
