just days ago I started my first "real" IM business with amazon, while creating my account i provided them with a pinterest account as my website because they said they accept social media accounts.

This morning i received this e-mail from them:

Hello,

We currently accept only Facebook.com &quotFan Pages,&quot &quotVerified&quot Twitter.com pages and/or a YouTube &quotchannel&quot in the Associates program. All other social network sites are not eligible to add Associate links, or for use to create an Associates Account.

In reviewing your website, we noticed that the URL listed on your application is a social network website. However, your site is not an approved social network or established with enough unique content and followers yet. At this time, we are unable to approve your application and have closed the account under which you had been temporarily approved.

Thank you for your interest in Amazon.com Associates.

do i get to reactivate my associate account, providing my new website i am currently working on? if not, can i open a new associate account? what should i do?

this is my first hard work IM attempt, i have been working 16H/day on my new website, and this email just killed all my motivation.

Please advise.

First rule is to check out the T&Cs of any affiliate program you're joining to avoid this heartache.

You could use a correct platform, then ask them to reconsider. You might get away with that.

U can apply many times, I did apply like 6 times before I got accepted (with a website). I had the same problem with content and I solved it by just adding more content.

Edit: You can use the same email :)

Amazon associates and logic are miles apart. :) Just open another account using different email address.

You can re-apply with same email id or can simply open a new account with different email. The good thing about amazon is you can simple add any website/blog for approval (as long as its not already using amazon affiliate links) and then later change it. They dont ask you to verify site :)

the website i made and i am still working on, already has products with affiliate links to the account that has been closed.
if i created another account and promoted new products on the same website, would there be any problems? like associate accounts cross over, since i am using the same website, should i fear my second account get closed too because of that?

I did read the TOS, they said they accept social accounts as the primary website, but they never specify which one they accept and which one they don't.
but the problem was not the social account itself, it is because i don't have enough followers on my account, therefore, they refused the approval.

There won't be any problem, just further develop your website and remember to change the reff links because they give you new ones.

as per my experience ..it wont matter

logically speaking, you will remove the links of blocked account from your site so it wont be an issue

i got my account approved on one site and i am using that account on several websites by using different tracking ids :)

right, that seems logical.
I won't apply now for the second account, because they give only 90days and they need to see traffic happening in order to approve.
i am going to work hard on my website now, get in good shape and build some traffic, then later, i will be applying again.

If you're new to Amazon bear in mind that when you make your first sale they check your site

they need a SALE in 90days

good luck.

that's what happened, i made my first sale and i was motivated by it, next thing i knew they closed my account.
So much irony in this world.
