Day 7
Profit
Adsense: $0.25
Amazon: $2.92
Total profit from Day 7: $3.17
Finally, I got an order through Amazon (0.25% conversion rate).
I changed Adsense placement, we'll see how it goes. I plan on testing this layout for a week and then I'll change accordingly.
Added an email capture plugin to start building my e-mail list for future use.
Changed my layout completely again, I've decided not to do any more major changes to it (I'm fairly satisfied with how it looks at the moment).
Did not add any content today or make any changes to published articles.
Starting to get a little traffic going. (114 UV today, according to Google Analytics).
A week has gone by and I'm very pleased with the results thus far. Only another 51 to go.

Optimized a lot of my articles today.
Added the Disqus comment plugin.
Added Instagram to my website.
I've noticed that when I post an article, it automatically ranks a lot higher than my competitors, I must be doing something right.
Unique Visitors has shot up from the start of the month. At the start of the month, I was getting about 10-15 views, now I'm getting 150+.
Exams are coming up and I don't have a lot of free time at the moment. In about 7-10 days I should be done with them and then I'll have almost 3 solid months of free time to work on the website.
I'm going to purchase a ranking service in the near future once I feel my site is ready to convert Clickbank and Affiliate Program offers. (I'm going to have my site reviewed by 2 experts, this will cost money, but it will increase my ROI in the long run).

Today I've decided that the experiment with Amazon and Adsense is over. Applied to 3 different affiliate programs on CJ not too long ago, once I'm accepted, I'll changed my monetization method.
I will also eventually add CB products to the mix, but that's far into the future...

God damn it. I just wrote a very long and detailed post, but it didn't save .
I wasn't able to post on the 13th, so I did two days in one post.
Short recap...
Day 13

On Day 14, I was accepted into another affiliate program, so I replaced all my Adsense and Amazon links with my new affiliate.
I added a few new reviews today as well. I plan on doing around 6 more reviews, then I will edit and optimize all of my informational articles before I make more reviews.
I'm starting to get some backlinks from the services I bought as well. We should see some major changes in my rankings.

Very interesting. It is not easy to build authority site. If you work hard, you will achieve your goals. Do not forget to build a Google Profile (Google authorship, Google Circles) and do on page SEO, it is very important. Several of my sites rank on the first page in Google because I use Google authorship and do On Page SEO (moderate competition keywords). Also very important are social signals (I buy it on Fiverr). Good luck!

It's not easy at all. You have to push yourself constantly. I feel that the first 6 months will be the most hardest and then it will become somewhat easier.

0 Earnings, unfortunately. I did get 50 clicks on my affiliate links though and I have a 2 month cookie on them, so hopefully they'll order in that time frame.
I added 2 reviews today and I should be done with my exams in a few days, then I'll have more free time.
For some reason I was denied by an affiliate on CJ, so I'll have to get that straightened out.
Can't believe we're on Day 15 already, only 350 more to go!

Another good day in terms of productivity. I added two reviews and re-wrote one article that was already published.
The article was alright, but if I want to be an authority I have to write really good content. Now that I have some reviews up, I'm going to re-write all of my published articles.

In response to the last post: I order my articles from a writer that I've worked with since I started doing IM (he has other writers working for him as well), but I'm probably not going to use him anymore. The quality of the articles isn't what it once was and I'll have to re-write all of them, minor changes of course, but necessary ones.
I'm not sure how much the project has set me back, probably under 800$ at the moment? Even if I'm not successful at the end of the year (unlikely), I will have gained very valuable skills and experience.

Sorry for the late update on this post.
There was no profit on Day 17 and I noticed about a 40% drop in traffic.
I added a couple of reviews and edited a few informational articles.
I'm going to take this weekend off, because I feel like I've deserved it.
My SEO services are starting to take effect, I'm surprised at the results. Considering that I changed the campaign for my SAPE links (new KW's campaign should be active in about 48 hours).
I won't have any problems in getting the first or second spot on Google for most of my KW's. I think that I can get 1st-3rd place for 33k exact match in a couple of months.
P.S. these rankings are as of Day 18.
