I currently have a webpage that's been bouncing in positions 4,5,&6 for a certain keyword. I went to check the keyword density today and realized the kw only appears once on the whole page of 2000+ words. I have edited the page to include the kw in the first, middle, and last paragraphs. Appearing once in h2 tags. I'm not doing any linkbuilding right now either. I'll post back here when/if I see any changes.

I will tell how weird things work now that get me brain fucked...... ok I have page maybe 300 words or so keyword was in the title only it was ranking on page 12 so I figured puting keyword in to content will make it go up right? so I added one exact keyword booom it droped to page 40 after recache I removed keyword its back to page 12 after recache..... true story
page has about 200 links
69.15% are url
7.45% (exact keyword 3 words + city name)
6.91% (same city name +2 words
2.66% (same city plus 1 word + services)

I will wait for your response to see the changes.

Sheesh, well that sucks! Hopefully I see a positive move, or even no movement at all as opposed to a drop like that!

Well it's only been 3 days, but the bouncing has stopped and I'm sitting steady at 6. It's crazy how much less traffic #6 gets than #4!

If it's a blog type website, you can add some "user comments" that you write yourself to add a little variation on the keywords AND to some "fresh" content to make it seem like it's up to date.
