Search engines have become Generative Search Engines, and many other search engines will follow this new model sooner or later.

Not just for search engines, many other sites like e-commerce will adopt this.

Branding has never been as important as it is today and will be in the future.

Generic domains, non-branded and similar domain names may suffer in this AI era.

Have you started treating your website like a brand?

In this ai driven era, brand recognition is everything. Generic sites get lost in the shuffle, while branded ones build trust and repeat traffic.

focusing on a unique brand identity now can give long term advantages people remember , return to brands not just generic content.

Totally agree branding is becoming crucial. Generic domains are going to struggle more in the AI driven search landscape. Time to focus on making sites stand out.

Not really, but it depends on your project.

It will take much work to make a unique brand out of some names.

Online Visibility has much to do with identity now. The EEAT factor is simply about identity.

AI is here already, and it begins to favour popular identities.

this shift been coming. ai engines lean heavy on brand recall + entity strength. weak names fade. generic plays lose edge. build a signal cluster around ur brand… mentions, links, reviews, structured data. that’s what feeds the models now, not just keywords.

Branding can make huge difference but the budget required for proper branding has also increased too much .

Not every blogger could afford to make his blog a brand. Like even a brandable domain cod cost thousands of dollars. All bloggers do not have the required money for this.

Yeah! I've said it before, the blogging space will undergo 'pruning'.

Everything has risen now, not only SEO, but also traffic buying, social media ads.

AI era or not, after 25 years of making money on the internet I think I've finally realized I need a strong word-of-mouth brand name to sustain myself long term online... otherwise I will have to keep pushing traffic into old age which is just a constant hamster wheel and not very stable... with a word of mouth brand name you don't have to do much after the initial push if your product/service is good and your market is evergreen... or so it seems

Absolutely. In this new landscape, if you don't have a clear identity, you're invisible. It's not just about content; it's about being recognized and trusted. Generic names and sites will struggle to cut through the noise generated by AI. Build something memorable and distinct, or you'll just be another forgotten URL.

With all the AI-driven changes, having a clear brand definitely helps avoid confusion and stand out. I agree that generic domains may struggle over time, so focusing on branding early seems like a solid long-term move.

facts bro with all the ai answers popping up branding matters way more now generic sites gonna struggle unless they build some real identity i’ve been focusing more on brand look n trust signals lately feels like that’s what will survive long term in this new search era

It is not possible for every blogger to afford an expensive brandable domain. Even with a generic domain, you can build a brand through consistent content and earning trust from your audience.
