Alright.

Couldn't find any genuine likes provider, so I decided to try Facebook ads.

S$15 and 13 likes later, (page already had over 800 likes)...

I feel I am doing something terribly wrong.

So I bought a new tool to scrape Facebook UIDs today, and scraped about 114k IDs. Added them to my "Audience" list 3 hours ago.

So far: 950 reach, around 2000 impression and zero clicks. Spent .12 cents. Now I am certainly happy with those number but I have had no likes.

What should I do?

Clicks are around .80c to 2.5 dollars. Impressions are cheap, but they are yielding no value whatsoever.

Thought I'd ask here, to get that "basic" tip that I failed to notice. :)

Demographics are part of a PPC campaign. That's what you doing wrong. Target your ads.

Why a 15 year old will fill a quote from for a car insurance when he does not even have a car? So target your audience, use demographics.

I *feel* like 15 year old, have to admit that!

Right after posting this, I "finally" got one like for this new campaign. Have to admit the older campaign was very broad -- and very bad.

I am targeting my audience this way:

1. Found out pages related to my niche
2. Scraped IDs of users who are active. So if a page had 200k likes, only 10k active people were chosen.
3. Invested few hours in this whole scraping/filtering.
4. Finally had over 360000 IDs.
5. Facebook detected 120k IDs.
6. Did country targeting to get 114k IDs.

And I am using impression, which was 8c to $2, but after a while it magically became 3c as CPM and 8c as maximum bid. So I changed the number to 4c.

I get lots of impressions and reach, but little to no clicks. May be I need to learn to optimize ads. Or wait to see how this new campaign pans out. :)

Image may not be attractive , Change the image of the ad and make border red something like that.

I have the impressions, but not the clicks and likes. CTR absolutely sucks! Pretty sure I am not doing anything wrong.

Read that having a RED border attracts click. It made sense until I implemented it -- and now I am trying to find that author who told this. :D J/K!

I shall report back after few hours. The target audience is good enough, around 114k. Have 4 campaigns running - will see which one performs better.

Meanwhile, any advice is always appreciated.

LOL! Can you believe I just said that red border thing didn't work?

Any example? I had a red dot border, pretty badly made so it could attract eyeballs.

The current image is taken from Shutter Stock which is provided by Facebook. Looks nice, but yeah not so attractive. :)

Edit: Have 3 ads running, to see which one performs better. All of them are using Stutter Stock images. Will try to make my own image that stands out.
