I've had a blog for about a year, for the first 7 months just occasionally posted with no on page SEO and as you can assume, I got bored quickly as no one looked at my site. Last 3 months I've learned a ton and have been focusing on writing a few posts a week with good on page SEO but have no back links so have been looking at the marketplace here at BHW.

My question is really what is the best strategy to build DA as well as getting a few of my ranking keywords above page 6? I currently have like 10 back links from what looks like autoblog sites.

Should I focus on backlinks mainly to my homepage or spread them out amongst my best keywords or a little of both? And if so what would be a good mix of home page vs posts?

I've already purchased a few small packages and spread them around but before throwing too much money at this, wanted to have some strategy.

Thanks for the info

I've had the same issue, thanks for the post and home to see some gode advice here..

Backlinks is the only way to increase your DA and related metrics. So make sure you get plenty and good ones. While buying the backlinks ask the seller from where they are going to provide you the links because the low quality links can damage your site, leave alone helping.

While many in this forum will quote that DA is not that important (and I agree to that to some extent too) but I answered this because your question was related to improving DA.

Also do some keyword research before posting any article and include those keywords in the post. The keyword rich article and the backlinks collectively will take your site to the top.

DA doesnt mean anything to google, they have their own metrics. however to increase it (and also ranking) you should build backlinks.
aside of that focus on your onpage SEO. this won't help you with DA, but with ranking and getting more traffic.

Hi! If backlinks is important to increase DA and DA is important to rank, then how is DA not that important? Just curious.

DA is a metric that was invented by a company. it has nothing to do with ranking on google and google doesnt care for it. they use internal page rank which is a completely different metric.
DA is an indicator of how good a site/link may be, but it is not accurate. for example even a DA 0 link could help you rank as google might value it completely different.

Thanks. When buying links, what metric should I look for?

thats the thing, if you buy links you can only look at these type of metrics. however DA can easily be faked too, so if you don't build your own links and just buy them, then i would also check the reviews.

Thanks for the advice, it seems like the best strategy, from what you guys are saying, would be get backlinks to posts with keywords I want to rank for, and not focus on my home page which is essentially just a central hub with no monetization capability?

if you plan to buy backlink make sure to buy quality one, with real traffic.
and yes backlink target to keyworkd you rank for.

Good question.

DA and PA are the metrics invented by a third party named Mod. It is not invented by Google. These metrics are only indicative of a websites quality that Google doesn't directly considers in ranking because it doesn't officially support it.

Hence many SEOs do not consider DA and PA. However many consider it important to because it is a good measure of a quality website.

DA/PA metrics are third party companies metrics not linked with google, but these metrics give rough idea how useful the backlink will be.

DA is a real indicator that works, but PA means nothing

Whatever it takes to rank for your keywords.

But I recommend 70% for the homepage and 30% inner pages

Backlink count is low , You would have to get more links quality ones as the new google algo is coming any Sonner .

DA is not important, Just focus on the quality of content and follow the Quality guest post approach like Guest post, Link pillowing.
