BHW Is getting full of useless Topics that starts by newbies
some time also bots start to create some spam topics in everywhere

i suggest to limit newbies from createing NEW topics
they would still sens replays or create topics in lounge byt now everywhere

or at least 1 topic in week or month

what do u think? agree or not?

I agree limiting new users from creating too many topics can reduce spam and keep discussions more meaningful while still letting them participate.

Na, I don`t think that is a good idea, we all been new here and hyped about what we need to know, that community hype is gone if you don`t let me post my questions.

Limiting makes the newbies spam posting on off topic threads, also they will never return

It's not very inviting if we do not allow new members to create threads and thus engage with the community.

im subscribed to some of forums and getting daily emails of new topic

90 % of them are pure spam and useless

its engages new users to search and read old topics and avoid to create many simultaneously topics

new users can engage to old topics if they really want to learn something

That's not good for business. The owners need engagement. For quality's sake, it would be a lot better. I think the low quality posting, the chatgpt responses, the spammers, will simply kill the forum side of the site. I've seen this happening with similar forums. It started with a gradual decrease in quality and nowadays those sites are simply link farms for spammers. No actual discussions among users are held there anymore.

Years ago when a post was created it used to have hundreds of views in a small time frame. Now it will have 20, 30 views in the same time frame. You can check this on the way back machine. What this tells me is that people are no longer using the site for information. They're no longer looking to learn. It seems everyone has an agenda, whether it's selling, spamming or farming enough comments so they can be Jr.Vip. The number of people looking to learn and have honest discussions has dropped dramatically.

I believe this idea might work but there must be enough valuable topics to make comments. At least newbies can read more and put their comments. Maybe after an amount of valuable comments then they would be able to create topics.

I think that makes sense. Restricting new users from posting too many topics would reduce spam and low-quality content, but allowing them to reply or post in a lounge keeps them involved. Limiting them to one topic per week or month seems reasonable.

instead, BHW may program the platform, as below:

1. If the post topic is similar, then the concern will get a notification with the previous discussion thread.
2. The new post could be hidden from all but will be only available for the person who posted it.

This is my personal opinion, as I'm also a newbie so no need to take it seriously to fight with me!

I totally agree.
Lately, the forum has been flooded with “junk” threads. Completely blocking new members from posting might be too harsh, but as you said, a limit of 1 thread per week or allowing them to only reply for the first period of time would make sense.

This way, spam/bot topics would decrease, and new members would first learn the forum culture before starting to create quality content.

I think such a rule would definitely benefit the forum.

requirement : new users must have 20 or 30 or 50 posts before starting topic

or 20 or 30 Likes or emoji reaction

whatever is better

As many as you want.

Do you mention this in reports?

It's more reasonable to stop them from spamming instead of asking other users to take time and report them.

You think it's more reasonable to prevent new members from posting new topics and asking for help and advice than it is for established community members who understand the rules more clearly and know the lay of the land to inform staff members of spam and repeated topics?
