Newbie Rant

I couldn't agree with you more, hdanap. Lots of people give bits and pieces of how to do something and that is worthless.

I real teacher gives step by step instructions and visual examples.

I've seen two or three excellent tutorials on this forum.

I don't understand the rant... You just explained how you learned everything the hard way. Why don't YOU write a tutorial then? You are not going to do that for the same reasons everyone else hasn't done it. Why is that? THAT is the right question my friend...:33:

You misunderstand. I'm a newbie, as of yet I have nothing to offer as I'm still trying to make a buck from IM.

What i was trying to say is that, there should full step by step tuts to help out newbies and if i were in that position i would definitely render my assistance.

Let me add a bit to the mix here. I agree that step-by-step material will seem NOT step-by-step because of lack of knowledge of the basics of all the areas mentioned that are needed to start making money. In other words, you can't expect to start in the middle. You have to start at the beginning. It's like learning your A-B-C's to learn to write words and nouns and adjectives to learn to write sentences.

That said, I also agree that many methods seem to be slammed together and leave out some important do's and don't's, even the paid methods that we get here for free. Thanks to BHWers who get us this stuff so we don't have to spend money to learn what is crap and what is worth doing.

I feel for the OP. I began in 2006 with no clue about IM. I looked for the perfect step-by-step plan and found NONE because I was too dumb to know what I didn't know or I found methods that required steps I was either too dumb or too lazy to do. I though IM was basically push button. Well, it can be push button once you know what buttons to push and that takes knowledge.

Want to do CPA? Learn everything you can about CPA. Want to do PPC? Learn all you can about it. Want to do Article Marketing, Back Linking, Email Marketing, etc? You get the idea. Once you have the knowledge you can take a method and twist it to your personality and goals.

You will never make money looking for step-by-step ways to make money that are created by others. You can make money by taking the ideas of other people and making them your own and there are tons of those ideas/methods given here for free and without risking money you don't have.

I wish I had better news for you but IM takes knowledge and innovation. I learned that there are no short cuts for newbies because newbies do not understand them due to lack of knowledge of the basics.

Anyone can do this successfully but like all things in life, the top 5% make 90% of the money because they learn the basics and then create their own unique methods.

That's my experience anyway.

First, IM is like any other business! You need basic investments!
that why sharecash and fiverr come into play!

Try experimenting with sharecash and se if you can make around 20$ for a start.
or you could write articles, judging buy this threads first post,it looks like you will be able to write articles.

summary:
collect about 20$.

next,do proper keyword research, this is damn important,if you do this wrong its gonna get you fucked! :D
now with that 20$ but domain 10$ and hosting ( dono the cost cause i am on lifetime ;) )

summary:
get good keyword,buy EMD,add hosting.

next,is on-page SEO and off-page SEO. use search function and get it done correctly.
since you don't have any investments use seoquake to get high PR links where you can comment on and get few HQ backlinks.
within some month or even day you should be ranking high!

Good luck!

If it is against the rules in the public forum, I assume it is against the rules in a PM.

That's to bad. If you ever sell or release the ebook let us know. I would be interested even paying for it. Thank you

I don't know i don't know

I like it to be hard. Man i would never get involved in sometihng that everyone and their brother can do.

To me EASY= Saturation Hard=Much less ppl doing it

Easy=more competition
Hard=less competition

I am soooooooo glad that any newb can't just come on here and start dominating in no time. If it was that easy then there would be no money any more.

I hope that other people just keep chasing the push button solution. That way they can keep

See really the problem is how you look at IM and BHW.

If you think there is some easy way that people are out there making bank you are wrong. Everyone has to work their a** of eventually. MAYBE you are the lucky one, MAYBE you found a way to make thousands very quickly, BUT like all things that stream of cash WILL dry up, and then your still going to be looking for the NEXT thing.

Now let me ask you this. If you found a way tomorrow to make thousands in some way. Would you then come to BHW and share your exact method so everyone else can do it?

If you want to be successful here you can't take the easy route. The easy route is some stupid book that tells you "EVERYTHING you need to know" I call it BS. There is NO everything you need to know book.

The hard route which really isn't that hard is spending a couple weeks or so just reading as much as you can here. There are thousands of members. You can rely on the wisdom of ALL versus one persone who wrote an ebook.

Also, ebooks are designed firstly to make money. FIRST you say I want to make an ebook to make money, THEN you go about trying to fill it with valuable info Even a FREE ebook HAS to make money. Wether it is for promoting yourself, services, etc. So you can't expect that an ebook has your answers.

I gotta say though, you are already starting out VERY wrong. You have the ENTIRE world of IM at your FINGERTIPS!!

Do you realize that this board has ALL the answers you will ever need? And yet even with all of this valuable information at your fingertips, you are still asking for more.

Let me say this, if you DO NOT have the dedication, the motivation, the DESIRE, to read through this forum until you find your answers, then you will NEVER have the dedication, the motivation, the DESIRE to succeed in IM.

If you think reading through this forum for answers is too HARD for you. Then you will NEVER make it in IM.

IM is way harder than you realize. Reading through this forum is the easy part. What are the hard parts you ask?

Well, lets see do you want to do SEO yourself?

Ok well we will probably end up spending a few hundred dollars before were finished. And in the end all we will have are some SEO softwares that we now have to spend the next month or so learning how to master. Be prepared for sleepless nights, and also be prepared to wait much longer than expected to see results.

Next, also you need a website or a blog, which will not be exactly what you want but unless you pay good money, or are a coder, you will spend countless hours trying to get stuff to line up, remove this, add that, etc. Coding can be very challenging, forget about php, java, and flash.

My point is that IM is VERY hard. PPL think its easy, i would like to ask in here, if there is one person who is successfull for long period of time in IM that hasn't had to spend many sleepless nights and many hours dealing with all kinds of stuff.

So you see BHW is your boot camp. BHW is where you come to learn how to make it in the IM world. If we gave you ONE book you would ask for a thousand, we give you a thousand you ask for one. Also, if we gave you just one book, you would not have the fortitude to make it in IM.

You will get ready to tackle IM by going through here and searching for and finding answers. Also be prepared to be searching for answers alot of you go fulltime IM.

Peace.

You hit it right on the head beeHWfan. Sometimes I think the only thing that makes IM viable is the high learning curve and the dedication required to survive, let alone succeed at this. With all the Panda updates lately, no one really has a clue where it's going. I have a feeling that Google is optimizing for profit and us little guys will get squashed.

If you want step by step guidance, give The Challenge a go. Run by marketers, for budding marketers. 100% free, and the training is actually really really good stuff - and the best part about it, is they don't try and sell you stuff during the entire course (there are the occasional affiliate link, but the items are usually necessary for implementation, like hosting, and they are up-front about the affiliate link, so it's all good). You will get the occasional marketing email, promoting a course for after you finish the challenge, but obviously you can always unsubscribe.

Life is the most expensive university you will ever attend. I think most of us have been there. It's very difficult to find someone who will have your best interest at heart and produce great results. Common sense tells me that someone offering to sell a $20 package to make five or ten thousand a month probably isn't going to happen. The old saying is still true. If it was so good, they would be doing it themselves instead of selling how to do it.

I'm not trying to be spoon fed

You basically are though. You're asking someone to give you a guide (without doing heavy research yourself) of how to earn money, step by step without any input or thought from yourself...

Something good for a newbie who wants to follow a really detailed plan ...

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/member-downloads/254279-get-fatcat-blueprint-bonus-best-adsense-ebook-ever-2.html

Scroll down and download the fatcat blueprint. Its a LONG read ... but it doesn't leave much to the imagination (extremely detailed information there). It's geared towards adsense.

There are already comprehensive tutorials on everything you asked for.

OMG someone who actualy knows how to search a forum. Sorry a bit harsh but there are a lot of peple here who do expect to be spoon fed and don't even bother to do a search. Hopefuly more links will be added to this thread and help a lot of noobs out there.

For the basics get the newest X-Factor book and also Lisa Parmleys "Inline Seo" course. Those two are about as basic as it gets, but will give you the fundamentals you need to know especially InLine Seo. You need a basic method or plan so that you begin taking action. If you read everything out there you may become paralyzed by all the conflicting information. The learning curve is intense and WILL consume your life so be prepared for a long hard road ahead, there is no easy way through other then dedication, persistence and countless hours of hard work. In time you'll figure out what works through trial and error. After that spend alot of time on the forum filling in the missing pieces.

Every newbie has to start somewhere. And learning even the basics can be an intimidationg task.

Why not think about learning one new thing a week?

Start off with discovering how to create an effective blog or website? Spend a week finding out as much as you can about the mechanics of getting your site up.

Then maybe spend the next week learning about niche research?

The week after that learn how to do effecive keyword research.

Then start learning about effective SEO on your new blog in your new niche with the keywords you've uncovered.

When first starting out, I was like a lot of other newbies out there. I wanted it all yesterday...

Nobody crawls out of the womb knowing how to do this stuff; and it will take a little time to learn the correct way to do this stuff.

Budget a month or so to really master the basis; and use the threads here since almost all of the info you need is covered in this forum.

Once you understand the foundations of setting up your first successful site... You can easily scale up and start working on some more esoteric stuff.

It's easy to get sidetracked; but without the basic building blocks, you'll never get anywhere...

And let me advertise myself a bit :)

Everyone of us was a newbie at one time. And each and everyone of us has to make his own experiences. That's not a waste of time, that's someting really important. Even if you fail at something, it's still an important lesson you learned.
Read through this forum, pick a method you like and try it out. If you fail, think about it/ask others (most people are really nice and helpful in here) and try to improve it. Don't give up to early. Rise and repeat until you made it.
Yeah i know that's not what you want to hear, but that's how it works.
