New Youtube method?? - this is insane

It seems that doing TikTok-style videos is the new trend on YT! Lots of things to learn and try from this...

The method is true, ive used it for affiliated sex products ;-) for several years now.

You should try YouTube ranker gives views and ranks your video. It goes straight to youtube and finds your video

incoming death tricks in 3...2....

my storage almost empty, gotta gitgud at anything, I guess...

Hmm this looks really interesting but who knows how long this'll take to get patched by youtube

All they care about is "attention span"

If people are spending time on video watching it in slow motion, to them it's the same. People are still spending time on YT which is what they want.

I don't see why they'd patch this. The trick here is to retain people watching your stuff at 0.25

So how to get youtube ranked? lol

But not every audience going to hit the slow speed I think unless the video is very very interesting? Beside you going to do that every video? Or just 1?

anyone knows how to add this effect to already uploaded video ?
I couln't find an options in YT editor

It's not actually the method that works but the fact that he made a video on a topic almost everyone is interested in and then got them to view the video more than once using a very short video. Obviously retention matters, so does click-through rate, so does where the traffic comes from.

Its not something that can be abused consistently
The second time this happens, people will just skip the video and it'll end up hurting your channel if you're just trying to get people to replay your vids in 25% speed lol
But yeah the guy who said tiktok style vids is right, a lot of cuts and content in a short time frame is the way to go as user attention span decreases with the plethora of content out there

It also increases the engagement rate as everyone has to manually change the speed.

Not everyone. Just us.

Any normal person who sees that video will chuckle and move on halfway through.

I did some little testing with this thing today. The way I did was by adding manual views using two mobile phones with 4G residential IPs. The classic switch to airplane then back to mobile data mode.
As you can see in the added screenshot below, I have an average view duration of 3:25 on a 3:03 video. The 12:09 segment is from when I started adding views using the 0.25 speed option.

It looks weird, and nice. The watch time grows by a lot more than it should.
No idea how this will affect the video just yet. The video itself is in a highly competitive niche and I'll let you all know if I ever see it ranked in any way with this thing. I suppose it will take a day or two for the analytics to fully update themselves.
For the moment, I'll keep adding around 20 or so more views.

Mate,give us update please!
I can see, it can be a journey thread too :D

Metrics from these tricks don't help at all.

No matter how many tricks and bots you use to make the watch duration ratio 100% and CTR 100%, you can't get the desired effect.

Sometimes by chance the impressions expand, but only for a short time. When the number of impressions stops expanding, the video goes into a shadowben state.

YouTube doesn't work in this way.

Nice technique and nice to find a draingang afficionado on here :)

FAKE NEWS.

If you watch a 10 minute video at 0.5x speed yes the average view duration is 20 minutes but the average percentage viewed is still 100%.

i dont understand the benefit of doing this?
can someone explain how this can make money
