Ahrefs has made another update. This time in the Keywords Explorer section

What's new?

- Date of first review: The date when the keyword was first discovered (available on all new plans)

- Breakdown by device: Number of searches on PC and mobile devices (available on new Advanced plans and above)

Thoughts? Were you expecting this?

Sounds like some useful additions for optimizing SEO strategies and targeting the right audience effectively. Excited to see these features in action.

I am sure this function will work at least 50% of the time.

All those "SEO" tools are pointless now. If someone pays for them is a fool.

Saying it'll work 50% of the time sounds like a nod to the occasional hiccups all tools have. Ahrefs has a solid track record, so these features should be more reliable than not.

Every tool has its place, and while there’s always room for debate about the ROI of SEO tools, it’s a bit extreme to dismiss them outright

Using free tools sure... no problem. But paying hundreds of $$ per month if you earn little is pointless.

It's adorable, at least the second feature.
I mean, 2024 - They should have implemented this 15 years ago, but never mind.
I don't need to mention the advantages of distinguishing between mobile and PC (in all areas), especially in keywords, where you usually type less than on PC.
So, from my pov, the Mobile KW might be more valuable than the PC since they are probably more precise.

Best

Breakdown by mobile keywords is a good addition for sure.

it just getting expensive and slow, but ahrefs is the best, looking for best alternative

yeah like i said above, but ahrefs is the best tho, compare to any other tools, their features are so good

OP, yes these features might give us more insights on our research. Thanks for sharing.

I have found that people are reacting that SEO tools are useless. My question is then how are we going to do our research? From where we are going to know how many a specific keywords are searched? For which country a keyword is popular etc etc.

Please let me know the alternatives. Curious to know.

Yes, Sometimes these are pricey but we have nothing to choose from other than this. We get ideas to implement on our projects and we need them badly.
