I may be new to AdWords but Im not new to SEO /SEM been in the field over 3 years with great success with all White Hat Organic results, now its time to move on to PPC campaigns, and maybe some BH tactics now.

Im looking to make some extra money for my self now, not just work for other people. And from what I can see, since I am not selling any specific products or services the question seems to be how exactly to make this money.

Seems like Affiliate marketing and AdSense can be a simple way but how to use AdWords to improve traffic and the CTR?

This is the direction I'm leaning towards and tell me if this is correct:
Use my AdWords campaign to generate traffic to my blogs / sites that have my Affiliate links and AdSense links on it and hope that they will click on them so I can get paid off of those clicks.

AdWords its self is just used to generate the traffic to the site and the money is made through the Links on the site.

Is there anything else Im missing?

adwords is used to get traffic from G search engine, and content network. What you can do with traffic? Ask yourself. I'm using adwords to sell some products, it takes few months until I got success and I spend a lot of money on it. But right now I have good return from investment. The problem is you need time to get keywords that converts for your offer and dosen't cost you $5 per click.\ if you have $4 proit from your offers.

The key is getting cheap key words for your targeted traffic because:
There's no pint getting a tonne of traffic that does nothing at your site
There's also no point in spending a heap on keywords or clicks on adwords as no all of them will convert into adsense clicks or product purchases. got to find a happy medium and that is the art of making money.
