Hi guys,

So i have an e-commerce site i have been working on for about 2.5 months now and i noticed that even though on page and off page is incredible the site won't rank for certain competitive terms even in the top 200.

There are websites in the SERPs that are f**king trash.

The only thing i can assume is the issue is the fact that my site is new and it's trying to rank for extremely high volume search terms and google won't give me rankings easily.

Has anyone ever experienced anything link this? If so, what do you recommend doing?

Thanks,

Hard to say without knowing the site and keywords, but 2,5months is not a long time, i'd say wait a bit more and continue to build links.

Also found plenty of new sites in my niche experiencing the exact same issue.

What's interesting is that one guy has spent at least 10K on guest posts because I've reached out to those sites he has sponsored posts from and he still hasn't ranked for the major keywords although he is a 5 month old site.

Have you tried playing with keyword densities a bit?

Yeah i have. Not much change seems like a sandbox is applied for all new sites targeting high search volume keywords.

Guess you have to wait it out then. If everything is top notch, then no other way around.

Yeah I've literally been on my computer for the past 14 hours and all my testing & research leads me to believe that it's going to be a waiting game.

Would love to hear from some other members to hopefully gain some more insight on this.

I had a new domain site sandboxed for 3 months, first site created after Fred. The day before I was going to remove the links and start over, it popped into rank on page 9.

Competitive keyword so wasn't bad, especially considering 100% brand / URL. Now up to page 6... so yea it does like a sandbox. One way around it may be to build links mega slow at the beginning.. but not sure yet. I have other sites in the same situation now - I'm waiting it out.
