New Panda Refresh Today!?! My rankings have returned

google is a mystery right now...

Maybe we are being forced to promote and push Google + the same way people push and promote their facebook pages. Someone I know is going higher and higher for her site and she is using addmefast every day for Google +. She was not touched by penguin.

here is what i noticed i have several keywords that are on 1st page of google and stayed there through the update. The ctr had stopped. I think it is not the sites that is going through the changes i think googl has major issues with there site. After the first update came out keywords went through hell they went all over the place. Now the second update came out most of the keywords fell back into place BUT there is a difference the search qui. is not there. I check several programs i have and seen that they was down over 100% which tells me that when you search for blue widgets and your search came back with red widgets then the searcher was not happy.... This leads us into the last update which put the keywords back into place and the search qui. is now back on the rise. So i dont that it is because of the sites i think googl was doing some work on there sites. Atleast that is mytocents

yeah, i know what you were talking about when it came to the wrong pages on our sites showing up for different, for example red widget page showing when user searches for blue widget...i don't have that problem anymore, for the most part...there are still a few serps that are not correct, but over 99% are correct so i don't really have this problem anymore...

google is going to favor google+ whenever they can...i want to do so much more on google+, just to please the google gods, but only so much time in the day...

does anyone have experience with addmefast?...took a quick look at the site, not really very much information given...

there was an article today on searchenglineland.com and google is killing google places and is instead going to convert everyone over to google local and google local is part of google+...here is the link: http://searchengineland.com/google-...the-center-of-gravity-for-local-search-122770

I have at least 14 keywords, i was ranking for about 3 or 4 (the site is only a couple weeks old) and i check today and i am ranking for only 1 keyword. im starting to blame is on this fiverr gig. idk what to think now :(

hard to know exactly what happened to your site, but since its so young, most likely your were honeymooning and now that is over...

Here is what has me confused i have a 1st page 1st spot on goog but nothing is comming through this is what has me concerned. It almost looks like goog turned off the search engine. Before the updates this keyword was pulling in on a slow day 20 visitors a day now it is lucky to get 1

google might of seen a problem with penguin when many websites were reporting wrong pages showing up for serps that were not relevant to the query...

but to tell you the truth, i don't think google really cares so much about what we say...they are in their own world there in silicon valley...

With all my sites it has been a rollercoaster and still going on too. I have mutible sites that have dropped from the index and a few days later they are there again. Really strange but i did nothing to my pages. It has happened 4 times already now...

I love addmefast. It's fast and isn't glitchy.

The roller coaster is going upppppppppppp today. I know I said I would never again times infinity check the serps, but I am also obsessive. It must have been a one day thing because I'm in again.

I have lost track of how many times I have gone up, down, and disappeared altogether. It's getting ridiculous now.

We used to use a service similar to Addmefast to get G+ followers, etc.. It is called, YouLikeHits. We stopped using that after we got slapped by Penguin on April 24th. A lot of the G+ profiles that were following were bogus, probably created by SEOs and web marketers just to accumulate and distribute votes to other sites. Since we figured that Google would eventually catch on to this artificial behavior, we stopped using it. Now we just get more natural followers and +1s by commenting a lot of different G+ posts relevant to our industry and also posting on our G+ page. Not sure what everyone else things about all this.

Somebody said something about incorrect results showing, or SIMILAR but not the same results:

I have just had my FIRST real brush with Penguin or Panda (had cruised through so far) on a site which frankly was waiting to get slapped as it was entirely propped up with spun AMR articles, with very little anchor text variation. So OK, fair cop. It first dropped from no. 1 to about mid-page 2, then yesterday to end of page 3, and now top of page 4. Down, down, down. It was a good run... :( A year at no. 1...

But what gets me is that the sites now ranking above me rank for a slightly different phrase, like, instead of "hinged widgets" it's "swinging widgets". My site is www.hingedwidgets.com - but the no. 1 site now for the search "hinged widgets" is www.swingingwidgets.com, and all its anchor text is "swinging widgets" not "hinged widgets". Swinging widgets are NOT the same as hinged widgets, even though they are frequently confused. So evidently Google decided not only that I am over-optimised (fair enough) but that searchers are really searching for something different to what they are typing in! Very weird, I hope they are just experimenting with synonyms (I have seen them do this for short periods, like a day at most, before). But right now, that's a nice little Adsense earner down the pan, bah...

I MAY actually break my own rule and submit a resubmission request based on this apparent "error" (like they care?) - otherwise, though it was a couple of hundred $$ a month, I am not really sure it's worth trying to recover through my own efforts...

If the penalty occurred while you had spun content on your site, DO NOT submit a reconsideration request. Clean up the content and let the algorithm work itself out. If you do submit a reconsideration request, and a Google employee looks at the site history, you may get permanently slapped.

Sitting on page 4 is nothing. I've got sites sitting on page 50, 60 and nowhere in the SERPS. These sites have all original content, some of which took many hours to assemble in the form of diagrams, blueprints, etc. Penguin is NOT about quality content by any means.

Because your site has been hit with an algorithmic filter, a reconsideration request will do nothing anyway as you must clean up the problems so that Penguin will recalculate your site the next time it is run (results from your efforts may take weeks to be seen).

Best of success :)

PS: Google is showing irrelevant results for many niches. This is another reason to stand by while they correct these issues with more band-aids or a total recall of the zoo animals.

Thanks, yeah, you're probably right, although I should point out I didn't have spun content on-site, just spun crap in the backlink profile. Never got an unnatural backlinks warning though...

Sure, page 4 is nothing, it's just the downward slide that's worrying. If I was on page 50-60 then yeah, I think I would just call it a day :/

It's weird though, you say (and SEORoundTable and those kinds of people quote M*** C***s as saying) that Penguin updates are REFRESHES, not updates, meaning all they do is recrawl and reconsider sites based on any changes. Thing is, I never made any changes between the two Penguin updates. There's obviously a whole lot more going on that they are not exactly spelling out to us, but I think you are right, it is still worth hanging in there and seeing if anything changes, maybe trying to improve the backlink profile a little (removed a couple of site-wide exact-match anchor links from other sites I own - bet that wasn't helping).

I would agree much more is going on then we know. Considering the irrelevant SERPS being displayed, Google is probably unofficially releasing band-aids to fix the problems they find. Also, keep in mind that Panda is also in the mix and it does not run all of the time either. However, I have not seen anything official about Panda being refreshed.

It sucks waiting things out, but there are indeed some major issues with relevancy and the SERPS. Google will address this and during the process your site may come up on its own. Providing you have good content on your site as you say you do, I would not take a hatchet to it. I tried that on one site and the ranks got worse. Added new pages with no ads, CPA offers, etc. and the ranks got even worse. lol So much for great content!
