New G Update running. Any drops so far ?

My main site has consistently maintained a top-5 position, for the chosen keyword, for the last 6 months. As of now, my site is a stable position no. 3 .

Just seen a slaughter on one of my sites - gone from top 10 for about 45 pages to 10 in top 10 overnight.

Bugger.

My rankings are holding pretty steady. I bet those experiencing drops has to do with the link building strategy.

In addition, all of my sites have been designed (or redesigned) to be mobile-first, and all get above a 80/100 in pagespeed.

Yes, i think it is still going on.Many sites also hit by Google update.

Definitely some weird shit going on. I've had mostly positive movement since this update chatter started taking place a week or so ago.

Today, my SERP tracker told me I got hit for one of my main keywords on my main site, however, on the "local" result it still shows as #1??? Also, I tested this on serplabbut that also tells me that the result is still number 1-2 (2, probably because google shoves a shitty amazon "knowledge box" in the search).

This probably has something to do with on page relevancy, because as far as I can tell most of my articles were doing better and I've moved up fr a 60k/m search keyword to position 20 something from 60. Even though the entire website is dedicated to this one particular topic, so its about fucking time.

Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if this fucks up affiliates or other businesses and promotes their own shit even more lol. They don't give a damn about the EU!

The sooner the better. It doesn't get easier. Establish yourself while you can still rank. I feel bad for the poor souls who start 5 years from now.

I couldn't agree more with you on this one. If you don't jump onto the bandwagon someone else will. You could write a page today and make nothing from it, but at least you've tried.
