New Backlinks types 2018

Hey there! Just learnt that article submission backlinks aren't of much positive weight anymore, so, can you suggest me the type of backlinks you guys feel that still do work in 2018? And google does give a lot of weightage, And I do know that PBN's still work, so you don't have to mention that. But any other? Like bookmarking, directories, PDF submissions etc.

Any help would be great!

Each Type of Backlinks have a effect on ranking... the only thing keeps on changing is the weightage of link types. Now adays PBN is the most effective way to rank website but you should other link types as well for diversity.

I think you must adopt these link building strategies:
1. Guestographics: It is the best way to get the high-quality backlinks. It provides you with the natural linking process that's why I like it so much.
2. Forum: If you want to get the instant backlinks then you need to join some discussion that belongs to your niche. Once you've created your profile on forums you need to enter the conversation and work at least one month; you are ready to put your blog post URL. But remember, do not spam. If you do, your link would be removed.
3. Guest posting.
4. Broken link method.
 
Mass Blog comment seems to be working. At least I see people using GSA SER promote it.
 
The SEO game for me is simple great on page, PBNs, Web 2.0s, guest postings.

All other stuff I hire someone for it, like blog commenting, directory submission, etc.. and actually they don't help so much but I do it for diversity and to make my link profile look natural like any other site on the web.
 
I think that valid .gov and .edu backlinks are still useful. As long as they aren't comment spam, guest posts on .edu domains are very valuable backlinks.

Again directory submission at first place ? I know a long list in the answer looks good but consider the relevance.

Really? Mass blog comment directly to money site? These doesn't work! Even a website ranks with mass blog comment, they will get penalized after a while.
