Need Wordpress Help - Posts not showing

Hello everyone I have a Wordpress website and today, just like my luck, all my posts in every category does not want to show. Yesterday it was still working fine.

Can anyone give me a suggestion as to what I can do to fix the problem?

I have cleared my website cache. The theme I am using is a stupid custom one I bought on the warrior forum, a directory theme I thought at the time was a good choice. I am starting to doubt my choice in the matter.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try a different theme and see if anything changes?
 
I am actually to damn scared to do something like! lol, I have a backup so let me try a different theme quickly.
 
Nope the theme change didn't work!
 
It happen to me before and if i remember correctly it is because of my web hosting problem and when i switch to another web hosting that is more reliable, the problem solves. I suggest you to contact your web hosting support for assistant
 
Changing Hosting is a bit harsh and not possible for me at the moment.
Damn this is making me mad, I still haven't gotten a fix. If anyone can help with a solution I was be really grateful. I also run my website through cloudfare if that makes any difference.
 
How do you mean your posts are not showing ? do you mean you are typing up and publishing posts and then the mysteriously dont show ?

Do you have your settings set up to only show one post only or only show pages etc.

Are you running the latest wordpress 3.5.1.

Dont be scared of wordpress in general. Mess about with all settings until you get it working. You wont lose your stuff and you will be able to undo mistakes

For extra safety open up your website on two tabs and and only save the edited page when you are happy its working..otherwise keep saving the benchmark page.
 
Hello Duffers5000 what I mean is that I have been creating a website for the past 2 months, adding content every day until yesterday.
Today I clicked on a category after adding another post (which shows when I click on "view post" from within the wp dashboard) and today it shows that I do not have any posts in that category or any category for that matter.

Pages do show on the front end and from links in the menu. The wordpress version is the latest one.

The reason I am stressing is that I am busy getting new clients to list on my directory everyday so things have to work...
 
Have you installed any new plug ins recently ? I have had problems were a new plugin can just mess up lots of things on a site.

And you have definitely tried a different theme or two just to be sure ?
 
I haven't installed a new plugin recently but might updated one, of that I am not sure. The problem with using a different theme is that the one I am using is specifically for a directory website and enables you to create listings/places which do not register as normal posts under normal categories.
 
is it that wp-local places theme that was for sale on the wafo ?

Deactivate all plugins, check if your posts are visible then reactivate the plugins one by one untill you could find the one that made them dissaper

I bet it's a caching issue.

I've seen WP Super Cache and W3 Total Cache both have major problems. As said above turn off plugins and you'll find it.
 
Check post dates. Maybe they are scheduled...or they are in draft mode... maybe waiting for review.
 
Thanks Edgematch but these posts are not new, all my problems started earlier today when I update a post.

Lol I turned off all the plugins - still not working.

Maybe it just takes some time, if I remember correctly on W3 Total Cache earlier today I cleared the cache and that plugin is connected to my cloudfare account if that makes any difference at all.
