Please remember that there is no need to sell at such cheap prices. The average business owner isn't all BHW savvy and doesn't have the advantage of having cheap at their fingertips like we do. Do what you want, but I'll sell nice sites for $500 and you can go sell the same site for $30 and I"ll make more money all day long. Think a customer will pick cheap? no way. they'll just think you're going to "hit and run" them. And if they do pick cheap, then that's not the customer you're looking for anyways. No offense man, just telling it like it is.

I agree with you, As you know, many people do have a fiverr gig $5. they are getting 100s of order daily, and earning 500$ daily, and you are giving same service for $500, But yeah both are earning same amount, people who are giving cheap stuff getting order in bulk, and you are giving same stuff $500 which gives less order but high earning, SO no matter what u offer, the matter is you should earn,
Next thing i want to say that, i have given this method to OP, for having a quick cash, If he asked for $500 for single website he may or may not get orders, but when he gives all this, which seems to be unbelievable offer which cleint always wanted to try and give a wuick order, and op can solve the problem of money, AFter tht when his problem gets solved he may increase the money for his service, when he knows, how this things works,

Advertise on BHW
1) Think about what you can do and what do you have
2) sell it to others on fiverr or other freelance sites
 
If you're aiming for some instant cash, article writing is your friend. They are available in bunches. Write few articles and you shall make your $20/day goal come true. If you're not good at it, try few freelancing jobs that fall under your field of expertise. Apart from this, I can't see another way except for what other told you - Read as many threads as you can on BHW.
 
dude get a job then focus on IM, in order to succeed at IM you can't have that much stress in your life

Seriously dude, this works. I do it. I've made money doing it. It doesn't take long to do. Brings in serious cash quickly. You can even scale it up by outsourcing the design to cheap labor. Twist my idea and upcharge for Google Places listings.

I've actually been thinking about doing this.

My plan is to contact local businesses that need a website and charge between $500 to $1000, however, do I need a hosting reseller account or do I just have them sign up for hosting under my affiliate link and skip the monthly charge for hosting?

In my mind my business plan is simple, just contact the business owners that are in need of a website either through cold calling or email. Then, once we strike a deal, I tell them to get a domain and then hosting under my aff with coupon codes (optional). After that, I purchase a premium wordpress business theme (do I charge them extra or take it from the money they pay me?) and install everything with optimized plugins etc.

And that's how I see it in my mind, I don't want to over complicate things. Then, just rinse and repeat and of course I can throw in some SEO services in the upsell.

So, what do you guys think, am I missing anything? I am seriously gonna take action with this as I see a great benefit to business owners who might be leaving money on the table by not having a website.

There are incredible comments made by valuable members. This thread really rocks. rather than very long explanations, methods are summed up in a clear way here. My 2 cents:

1- ask permission to the members selling on Buy/Sell threads to promote their services.
2- I know it is not easy bu go offline. Promote those services like you are the provider (of course with a higher price.)
 
You stated that you do designing. well look through sources how to do banners/buttons/graphics on tutorial sites and offer the service on forums. if you can excel, you can make some nice moolah per day. It'd be a nice start and you can move on with much things later when u get involved..!
 
I wonder how many of these type of threads we will be seeing, use the search if you wanna make money and stop making these useless threads like: "i need money how can i make a quick $XXX a day/week/month", "I have $XX to invest what should i do?", "can i make $XXX before the end of the month?"

OP there is some real gold in this thread alone. Take your time and read and the biggest tip is to ACTUALLY DO IT. You wouldn't believe the money people have made from this stuff... and at the same time you wouldn't believe the amount of people who have failed at this simply because they didn't ever actually take action.

Read, pick something and DO IT. Do it until it works. Ask questions, we can help.

Sign them up under your own account and charge them a monthly fee. If they ever want to go out on their own, then just send the site over to where ever. and pay for it. (and then sit back and wait for them to come begging back to you when they need a site change/revision)

Don't have them buy the domain themselves. You're selling a service. That service is all inclusive. These people don't know jack about what to buy. You'll have to be their know all. You buy it. Hopefully you'll buy one that is more like "AtlantaDUIAttorney" instead of "SmithsLawFirm" as the traffic will be MUCH better. That's your job to make sure to get the correct domain. Same thing with the premium wordpress theme. They don't even know what that is; much less give a shit. They just know that you the guru is going to build them a website; From scratch for all they know. Don't let them into your world. Make it simple. They want a website and you provide it. You give them the keyword research, the domain, the WP theme, the design, the hosting, the whole freakin thing; and in return they pay you a fee. It's no different than buying a gallon of milk dude. You just go buy it. You don't want to have to help the farmer milk the cow do you? No. You just want to pay for the gallon of milk and be done with it. This is no different.

Im very sorry for you dude, but I can give you 1 tip that will maybe make atleast 50$ or so at once.

1. Sign up addmefast
2. Find an iMacro script
3. Generate points
4. Sell likes/retweets/follows/subs

Write 4 articles a day ($5/article) - and that's your $20/day to start off. That should only take 3 hours max. Meanwhile, do other stuff - read, research, and such. For articles - post here, iWriter, etc
 
If you're a offline marketing person and can sell some very good online products, you can earn more than $300 or even $500+ per sale... there are plenty of threads you can also read that will teach you how to do cold calls and/or preselling. You can even outsource that part if you have a good product to sell. There are many product owners who can gladly help you with the product part.

Since you said you play guitar for over 10 years I assume you own a guitar and you're pretty good with it.
Get your iphone or webcam or something that can record 720p videos and start making covers for the most popular music videos on youtube, make a nice channel, upload your videos, give them names like - Best "Guns'n'Roses - November Rain" cover -, make your video a response for other popular Guns'n'Roses videos and put a link to one of those "learn to play guitar" products on clickbank.

Maybe you fail maybe you hit the jackpot, you'll never know unless you try it.

I know you are looking for job and looking to make money, but if you have $5 on you, i would advise you to have HR person look into your resume and create one professionally. I am very tech savy (over 15y experience) in variety of things .. I thought my resume looks awesome.. well things change in industry.. so does how HR ppl look into your resume. Before they used to scan it with eyes 10 seconds, now they use software that scans hundreds resumes in 10 seconds :) ...

Anyway, my point being is that.. make your resume searchable, create linkedin profile... I used to send 40-50 resumes a day.. got my new resume from fiverr guy ( cant think of which one ,, just look up ratings) ... and after sending 10 resumes within 3 days I got 4 interviews and I had to pick 2 jobs who I want to work for.. ( Though my resume was bad, but HR guy said that even tho resume looked ok to the glance...keywords were missing and the way software scans the resume..in most cases it rejects the way it was layout.) ...
