I need to open a hosting a/c and need suggestions for a good as well as cheap hosting.

I have used a lot of "cheap" hosting companies and one that sticks out more then any of the rest is hawkhost.com.
 
Hostwinds is a smaller company but is very cheap, reliable, and has great support.
 
there are a lot, depends on your needs, space, traffic, domains, locations, price...
 
I've been using hostgator and I am really happy with it.

To be honest, I am sharing an account with 2 friends so it is terribly cheap. Since, it has a plan with unlimited domains, you can buy an account with a friend and both of you host your blogs there.

I am happy with HawkHost. Use them for an year with no issues so far. Let see how they do with current wp attack.
 
Hawkhost is really a cheap one and going to transfer it from linode VPS, and by the way the internetwhole host is also competitive in price and function...
