    Hello all...

I have a local website that I want to get aggressive with and use some 'black hat' methods with.

The site is a marketing platform for local biz. And do to its structure, SEO is not so important. What I have done so far is scrape Craigslist and Google places for emails.

But I can't think of any other places to scrape emails from. And I can't really think of other black hat ways to spread the word and drive traffic.

All suggestions and ideas would be appreciated. I am familiar with most methods, but nothing is poping out at me as a method I could use to target locally.

    THANKS!

how is a black hat forum telling someone not to go blackhat?! :)

I am just looking for some ideas...i wont necessarily use them all. I will weigh the pro's & con's of various methods.

For example, I am not going to hack into a site and steal their email list. But if there was a way to find a list of businesses to email, I'd do that.

In regards to scraping, besides CL & Google Places...what is another popular place to harvest business emails from?

If it's for a local biz and people search for that type of business, you need to work on SEO. Doubly so if it triggers a google places listing.
