The ideal would be that, besides selling or not in cloud platforms such as Amazon or Etsy, you had your own online store. Your store wouldn't just be yet another source to sell your products, but a place to establish your brand, build an authority and eventually to get more visible in Google.
It also would make easier for you to market your products; for example, you could also use your site to gather your leads data and build an email list. You could use many tools like Google Analytics to study and learn more about your audience. And a broad list of other advantages.
Of course, having a website will cost you money and time (because it's not only about building it, but also to maintain it, optimize it, doing A/B tests, etc., so eventually you would need to hire someone to help you on these tasks), and specially if you want to build a decent ecommerce site. Depending on how you do, you would expect to see results in the mid-term (unless you have already a solid social base following you, which would make things much easier).
So my personal thought is that you could try first to market your products in Etsy (from what I have seen, it's widely used by retailers who craft their own products), try to
build relationships with other members and see how it goes.
Google "how to market in etsy" and you will get some interesting resources to learn and to get you started
