Need help with WP issue

I’m currently working on a movie streaming website through Wordpress.com and I’m hoping someone can assist me with properly organizing my posts. I have it set up so that when you select a certain genre from the sidebar menu, it takes you to the “Category Archives” of that specific genre. Of course the movies that are tagged and placed in the “Action” category for example are all here. My problem though is that EVERYTHING can be seen. What I mean is that it shows all of the contents of each movie posted, including the film’s poster, information, synopsis, etc. Is there anyway I can make it so that it doesn’t show everything. What I would prefer is that it just shows the title of the post and the featured image above it if that is even possible.
