Need help with my site (newbie here).

Hello guys, six months ago Ive started blogger site, bought custom domain and started posting.
My site is only for people speaking Czech (which is my native language) and my niche is posting czech subtitles for tv series (translations).

Problem is, that Iam only using Adsense on my site - one side banner and banner in the footer of page-->and my earnings are extremly low. My statistics on blogger shows I had like 20 000 site views since I added adsense-I have like 2k views per succesfull day(on my adsense it shows total Page views 5777, total views 11336,total clicks 13), but i only got 1$ for the whole time.
What Am I doing wrong, or what could be better? Translating subtitles with thousands of rows isnt exactly the easiest thing and I would like to get atleast something little return. I dont know if its just crappy niche or bad country). Iam thinking about changing style of site income.

Bare in mind that Iam newbie/noob and this is my first site.

Cost per click from Czeck is very low but just keep the good work

you need to re postion the banners for google adsence .

Usually at the top under the nav buttons.

You might need to consider diffrent business aproach as your country does not convert well

Usally you as a poor country usally try to get traffic from rich countrys like uk, usa good adsence conversions .

Maybe a re think in business

Sorry to say poor country it just the conversion rates are profetic , can not work like that take years to get a healthy amount of cash.

I agree that Czech traffic seems like very bad. I will try your tip(re-position ads). My layout form the top is-->navigation/search bar->header->posts.
So should i add ad even above site header?

hey man, i think you will make more if you used pops on your website .. try popads/popcash google sucks for T2/T3 traffic

Send the download links through ad f.l y type services and use tons of pop ups. Don't rely on adsense.

In subtitle niche, try to release subs for latest releases asap. Here is some marketing tips. Add your site link at the beginning and at the end of subtitle. Write something like "Thanks to www.your site.com - the home of Czech subtitles. Visit us for latest sub release." Then post your subs on popular subtitle sites like subscene.com. Subscene has a description field for each subtitle. Write the same text there. Now make some fake accounts and rate your own subs for more credibility.

Remember, having the only sub in the internet is the key.

You can put another twist. The subs you add at Subscene .. delete all subs after 30 mins and write "visit this site for complete subtitle". This will get you banned so use another id to post these subs. This will get you some quick fast visitors. Also make sure people can search at your site and find the sub they need.

Color and bold your site URL in sub files. Hope that helps.

Ok guys, first of all, I have moved one ad to the header location and ive got like 3x more money(like 0,3USD in good day).

Thanks for the tip, but Iam doing all this from the beggining.

-> nobody from mine country is using that site. All are using either opensubtitles or one other Czech central subtitle page.
->Also, almost all those shows are translated also by other people, but I have subtitles first.

Thanks for the tip, I was also thinking about this, but I think this could ruin user experience and sabotage growth of my page.
