Need help with Competitive Intelligence

I hope I'm posting this in the appropriate area. I didn't see anything that looked like a better place.

I need to know everything I can regarding a competitors SEO methods - I'm talking a detailed account of all relevant factors that I could essentially duplicate and possibly improve upon as well in order to achieve the same or higher ranking in the shortest period of time. I already use Semrush so I'm not interested in that. I essentially want to know a step by step plan I can implement with my site and an idea of how long I might be looking at to reach the best results.

You can check your own web site's stats and your main competitor's stats though ahrefs ..and you would have a fair idea about where you are lacking...

Analyze your competitors' backlink portfolio and obtain what strategy they have. Pay attention to the origin of the links. See what you can replicate. Consider analyzing their content and content quality and compare it to yours. Take consideration their social media engagement.
