Need Help To Rank

Hi I have pest control website and have been working on that website fior a pretty long time now but still I am not able to get it on the first page.I have tred everything and my linkbuilding are diversified like social bookmarks,guest post,press release,business directories,blog post,blog commenting,articles directories,etc. Any suggestions would be really appreciated to help it rank better.

Don't reveal your niche and keywords. If your SEO efforts are not yielding results, it may be a good idea to review your tactics. Refer to the various journey thread on this forum for example strategies.

Hi ISPAM! I checked your website and had a look at your rankings, which is really good that you are on top 20 for some of your targeted keywords. I also checked your backlink profiles, which seems good.

You just need to tuneup your website. Whats your avg time on site and bounce rate. If you workout on those areas, I'm sure you would be getting increased in rankings on top 5. Cheers.

You said you did all the things according to you, but how much time did you wait after that? And one more thing did you do all those things in a hurry, how much time it has been that you are working on your website.

i have been doing seo for this site from aprl 2013 and i dont believe in spamming and do follow links are almost equal to no follow.

Looking at the results for your keyword, I see that the top 3 results are google local places results. The next 3 are yelp reviews.

You are not going to rank above yelp very easily. Your best bet is to show up at the top in the local results.

What I would suggest you do is

1. Sign up at google places with your exact mailing address. If you don't have a google account specifically for this website, create a new one.
2. Create a google + page for your website (using same google account). Get customers and friends to post reviews (slowly, not too many).
3. Check out the 3 local results shown and see where all they have reviews (when you mouse over them, it shows up at the right) - get reviews from these places too.

Note that it will take at least a month for you to show up in the google places results - so don't be in a hurry. Use the time to get enough detailed and good reviews from as many real people as possible.

I am ranking #4 in google places for all my keywords and once I come up in organic on the first page I will be ranking on local places as well.

the first thing you might want to do is remove the URL from the post #1 of this thread.

Personally time and good quality content are always going to be the thing you should go after.

Maybe try to answer some common questions in the pest removal niche, something about how to remove certain pests by yourself or just give advice on what products to buy.

This will hopefully add some more value to your site and may even get you some links.

Make sure you've got a good social presents and even set up a funny twitter that doesn't take it's self to seriously, this doesn't affect franking to much but is a good source of views, which will help you rank in the long run.

Then work on plugins and making your site quick, get a quick site and make sure your meta data looks good. These a plugin called yoast SEO if you work on wordpress it's a great way to get your site in order.

Make sure you've got a good site map.

Try to only do guest posts if you'd do them without a link back, as if you want to keep it white hat that's usually a rule of thumb.

Pay for Google adwords as it will help you gain some instant rank if you go for keywords that are local I.E: Pest control in (insert area here) just do that to a few towns near you.

Just try to be constant and if you're doing things like advertising it's better to do 100 dollars a month for 12 months than 1200 dollars as a on off for one month. (unless you're realising an info product)
