Guys what if we provide a good backlink to a site that helps in ranking and after sometime we delete the backlink, will it cause a negative impact on seo? will the ranking positions go down?

yes it will go down majority of times, unless you have done other major seo effort within that window that could compensate for removal of that strong backlink

Ranking will eventually drop if better competitors comes to play and and if you don't build new backlinks to match the competition.
