Must do 1: Post high quality 1000+ words (bigger the better) article daily.
Must do 2: Optimize your article page for on page SEO (Add keywords on Title, First sentence of the article, maintain 1-2% keyword density, use H1, H2, H3 and H4 tags and use keywords in them too, optimise your image, etc)
Must do 3: Interlinking (link one article to other article on your blog. post one link to your homepage with your main keyword
Must do 4: Create social media pages on facbeook, twitter, and others.
Must do 5: back linking (Blog posting, forum posting, and tonnes of other working methods)
These are some basic things you can do. After a month of your hard work, I'm sure you'll start getting good visitors. more the visitors higher the changes to get ranked
