Suppose I buy a domain and register it with - A.com

Now, when I look for hosting I buy it from - B. com

So, in this case can I buy SSL from provider - C.com ( whose services I have not used for registering domain and for hosting)

Also, want to know buying cheap SSL is good or not?

Which is the most affordable and secure SSL provider, that you will opt for?

First what you want to do is of course totally doable.

According to your project a cheap SSL is perfectly fine and you can use a third party provider.
If you do so, generally, you'll need to do the installation of the SSL. (generate CSR, get your SSL certificate and enable it).
Your provider may provide your SSL and they would do the installation for you.

The most affordable is i believe RapidSSL which should cover your needs for a regular websites.
It is a type of SSL you can buy at many places.

Actually its best (atleast in germany) if u do it like u said (a,b,c) because its cheapest.

NP at all. BTW i buy SSl from alfahosting de for under 2€ a year. Works perfect. They are not the fastest or friendliest but it works.:drinking2

Yes, there is no problem to purchase all three (domain name, hosting and ssl certificate) from different provider.

How would you like to secure your website is important inplace of purchasing cheap SSL certificate or a high price ssl certificate. The reason behind the lowest price of SSL is to buy ssl in bulk by resellers of certificate authorities such as Symantec, RapidSSL, GeoTrust, Comodo etc. So it is good to buy a cheap SSL certificate if its feature fit as per requirement of your website.

If you want ssl certificate at affordable price then I would like to suggest you to visit cheapsslcouponcode where you will get diverse ssl providers with their disocunt coupon codes.

The only thing you really need to be aware of when buying SSL certificates is browser compatibility. As long as your certificate authority is recognized by all browsers it's fine to buy. Now, as a preference, you should also want to be able to have at least a 2048 bit cert, not 1024. 2048 is the standard. Really, you want that number to be as large as possible and at least 2048.

I buy PositiveSSL certs from namecheap for about $9 a year. I think GoDaddy (shudder) has even cheaper options, but you'll lose years of your life navigating their control panel.

    * Since you're brand new to this, I recommend just buying from your host and they should set it all up automatically.

    * Buy a certificate with at least 2 years of validity. Actually pay for as many years as you can. It's a pain in the ass having to renew your certificate every year.

Godaddy's panels are actually nice once you've purchased things. It's just a pain to buy things because they try to upsell you on a bunch of stuff before checkout. Their domain panel was redesigned a while ago. I think the SSL one is the same. Their panels are pretty standard IMO.
