Demonstrate you know more than him, and if you don't, then you shouldn't be trying to get the job. As long as you can demonstrate your skills and intentions are in the right place then you will get the gig. There is no confusion about this...

You're afraid that if you tell the client some stuff, they will try and do it themselves and you will loose the sale.

Instead of confusing them, try to convince them that the stuff they need to be done is going to take more RESOURCES than they have. YOUR business is catered towards those tasks, and has the resources that THEIR business does not.

Convince them of this. Dont confuse them of anything.

Layout your strategy. Your entire strategy. In excruciating detail. Your client won't copy it. He couldn't be bothered. He doesn't have time. If he has time to do his SEO he's a pretty small fish and probably not worth YOUR time.

Skype
Micheal Jackson
cgi-bin
squiggly line
shortcutts (get it?)
anger management
lamp

The most valuable word of all I can give you will cost seven thousand rupees.
 
How about you OP, do you know real SEO to be in that business? I guess the way you want to impress customers by confusing them speaks a lot of your SEO skills.
 
Thanks for the laugh. If you want to land him as a client, make sure he knows what he's getting if he signs on with you. Using fancy bullshit words that he doesn't understand (or does not understand why what you propose will help him get more clients/products sold/etc) does not work.
