I have a software company, and for my main keyword on Google, I am in spot 10. Right now I am getting about 1 sale a day and 10-15 uniques.

I know that if I am in the top 3, I will be getting 5-10, or more sales a day. My competitors have been around for several years, and my site is just about to hit 1 yr. Average PR is 3.2, and I am PR 0.

I have been building quality backlinks, have a couple web 2.0 properties, regularly update the site, post every day, have rss feeds submitted, and have awesome onsite SEO.

What are your suggestions to get me moving up to the top 10? Link wheels, webs, etc. I've hit a wall, and really need some advice. Thanks.

Tough to say without checking site... Usual SEO is no rocket science and involves same stuff.

I dunno what you doing wrong or may be not doing enough. You could try link wheel, web 2.0 or other stuffs which you said... Avoid any shortcut, I mean any blast...

Keep working and it will come. Also try social media marketing...

Keep slowly building backlinks to your web 2.0 sites. Create a linkwheel and think about buying scrapebox. You can get thousands of blog comments to your web 2.0 properties and then send some of this link juice to your main websites

10-15 unique and 1 sale a day? thats pretty good conversion. I have the same unique for 10+ days and i have yet to get a single sale!

I have been stuck on #12 for 2 weeks. What I found is:
PAID directory submission!

since your competitors' sites are pretty old, they have been off the most filters.in your case, not so.the best you can do is continue building links, especially to the deep pages. And if you have the budget, try getting some links from high trust web sites [the ones with high domain authority].try seomoz if you want to know a particular domain is high trust or not.

Very well established sites can be hard to beat unless you come up with some unique back linking. Maybe you can try one of the mininet packages being offered here. Also, a member named BassTrackerBoats has something called a link push that might be worth looking into as well.

My feeling is that you will have a slow move upwards but you can get started on it to win in the long run.

Try social media optimization. Google likes youtube....get a video about your service or product upload to your site and see the magic

linkbuilding is the way to go for that kind of site. and forum posting with your signature to your link

I moved up to spot 9. I got a link wheel built as well. Hopefully I will keep moving up. Thanks again.
