Hi there BHW... Finally after reading and reading and reading, I am now finally ready to take action and will buy my first domain. I don't know anything about hosting and domain that's why I am seeking for advice. I am done with my keyword research and next step is to purchase a exact domain match.

    So my question is:
What is the best hosting to use for newbie like me? My choice is hostgator and godaddy (maybe because that's what I always here) if there is any other hosting suited for beginners please advice me.

That's the only question I can ask cause as I have said I don't know anything with hosting and domain, so additional advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

When you choose a host, make sure you go with a big reliable company, or a host with good reviews. Also make sure you do monthly payment, not yearly (they try to reel you in).

I've been hosted with the same company for a year, and it only costs me $13.95 semi-annually for unmetered bandwidth/disk space + unlimited everything else.

So make sure you take your time choosing a host.

Hostgator is fine I think, yes i promote it and I didn't have really any problem with them, but I dont do anything remotly black hat, so you should be fine for that matter.

Godaddy I did not have any problem too, but I use also Name cheap because I get free Privacy info, were with Godaddy you have to pay extra.

Godaddy have tons of discount coupons code, and they do 1 dollar .com domains every major holiday, New Year, 4th July, S.Valentine and so forth.

Name cheap have less coupons going around.

    So up to you really.

I think probabily they are the most used company that are around for IM and for small starters online ventures.

As you are a newbie you must be low on cash and I think you should go with netfirms.com. They are really good and 24/7 up. The best part is there's a coupon code MAX20, by this code you will 1 years hosting and 2 domains for 20$. If you want more detail just PM me. I'll help you out in choosing the package.
