Need a bit of Help and Guiding

So I'm quite new to this whole making money on the internet thing, but I decided to give it a try. I currently have a domain and it's indexed, but has no Page Rank.

So my site is promoting Poker programs, for which I am an affiliate for. The problem is that it is getting like 10 views a day. The main source of views at the moment is from YouTube, for which I have a channel dedicated to Poker Videos. I just created a new Facebook page and a Twitter Account. I just don't get the feeling I'm promoting my site right. This whole SEO thing just confuses me, and I'm not sure what the best way to send traffic to my site is.

If anyone could help me, or link me to a few threads on BHW. It would be greatly appreciated.

oh, first of all.try to think how people will get to your site?by youtube,twitter, or facebook? maybe youtube can get you some visitors.but just a little,i think.you should pay attention on search engine such as google.

Meta tags aren't too important but you should research it a bit since they do help when it comes to SEO.

Right now, you should focus on backlinks. Backlinks are not only going to bring you organic traffic but a increase in serp results.

What this means is that building backlinks is going to get you on the first page of Google.

I don't intend to sound mean, I'm just trying to help you; you admit that you are new and well you clearly don't have the best understanding of SEO/promotion, the best thing you can do is go and learn white hat - go and learn how to run a successful site before you turn to black hat for help, this is the mistake so many people make - they simply think that they can come to this forum and be fed everything and they will be millionaires next week.

Best is to learn, and understand whitehat and then get into blackhat with landing page sites which can point to your primary domain. I wouldn't recommend trying to take a leap from the 1st step of a ladder to the 10th step because then you're just going to get penalized by google and possibly have to start all over again. Always have 1 or 2 primary domains which are your bread and butter. This way, if anything goes wrong in your BH adventures (and believe me, things do go wrong even with experts), then your primary domains are still bringing you money.
