Hey all, anyone with relevant information is kindly asked to advise.
Working on a site I’ll be targeting a large set of [service] [city] keywords. End goal is to try and sell leads to friends in those industries. I’ve registered a domain like “roofingquotesnearme.com, but am starting to worry it may not be helpful to contain near me in the url.
Content is created by inputting a csv of [titles] and the lovely AI outputs me Post Drafts with 2k avg words per post. I have them save as drafts so I can manually grammar check, add categories, and publish. I use same methods as PAA sites, and am actually starting a PAA site too. (Another story; another thread, maybe..) I’m generating one post per 5 minutes, although it only takes abt 1 minute to create them. (Meaning I can speed it up.) Manual edits take abt 1-2 minutes per page.

I’m just trying to figure out if I need to change domain before I put a lot of heavy lifting on this site, or if “roofingquotesnearme.com” is suitable due to the EDM nature.

Thanks guys. Also if you have any questions I can answer that would help your journeys, run it!

"Near me" in url only helpful if you targeting a specific region, later if you want to target other region then dont use it.

If you want your website's visitors to be local, include "near me" in the URL. If you want a bigger audience, remove "near me."

nearme domain can help you to reach some specific visitor.

thanks guys. I know the benefits of nearme, just wasn't able to find anything about it specifically being in the domain. I only would see questions about having [location] in domain. I appreciate it!!!

yeah, it can help if you are targeting local SEO. no harm in trying it out as part of your inner page structure. I've done this in the past.

it works only if you want to target local market.
Yeah, so articles on website i have posting are a mix of niche PAA + long-tail location keywords, specifically targeting local markets. I have a handful of low-comp cities I'm trying to target for this service. like "what type of roofing is best in Birmingham", or "How to find the best home generator for Atlanta homes".

I have a friend who works in the service in the state that i will be targeting specific cities. I figure if this little experiment works out, i can sell leads to him.
