Does anyone have experience with Namecheap "Managed EasyWP" for Wordpress hostings?

I almost chose that one, but i remember reading a comment about how someone had regretted it because it really limited their options after setting it up? Not sure how important this is for most of us.. But i went with the normal hosting and then installed wp with softalicious which is like literally one click and you have wp. I don't know what the other side is like, but i've had no issues with the normal hosting.

Namecheap provides value for money, their managed WP hosting comes with limited features as compared to standard cPanel hosting

And the moment you need something to change or add a custom script, you are pretty much... f*cked up.
what's your suggestion?
Namecheap managed (lt's cheap)
Siteground share hosting
Digital Ocean/Vultr
Anything else

I'm having very bad experience with my current shared hosting

I use the standard namecheap hosting packages for small/medium sites. Never had a single problem.

Longtime namecheap user. No issue at all. If you have an issue just go to live support and they will handle it for you. I mean cman... 70$/year for unlimited everything its pretty cheap.

I'm looking something good in terms of speed.

You use their standard pack or managed

Yes: Avoid it like the plague, in my opinion.

The price is way too much for the absolute shit performance you get. A $10/year hosting I used was better than their $70/year.

* This was over a year ago, things might've changed.

Which one you using now?
I'm with kvchosting from marketplace
Very bad experience so far.
Their customer service is good.
But speed is very bad.

If your target audience is from US, then choose Namecheap shared hosting is pretty okay.

I've got one site running on EasyWP & honestly I can't tell that it's any faster than other wordpress sites I host elsewhere. I have no complaints overall, it's not bad for the price. You're unable to use a number of plugins with them, mainly caching / performance ones as they claim to have it tweaked on the backend for you already. Try it till you're large enough for a VPS.

Thread moved to a more suitable sub forum for hosting questions.

go with Digital Ocean then. Their speed + forum + support is good. But it starts at $5 a month as compared to shared hosting where you can get $2-$3 per month price.

its good if you dont have any complex needs down the line
for basic websites its awesome value and easy to work w/

If you are looking for ease of use, one click install of WP, then might i suggest google cloud platform. You even get 300$ credit to use the first year. I had namecheap VPS managed. However, after getting 20k visitors per day they said I needed to upgrade to dedicated server. When I declined and said they should be able to tune my server, things just went batshit crazy and the site went down multiple times per day. The cloud is the future as you can always expand the cpu and ram to fit your needs.
