BREIN submitted its recommendations for the EU's Counterfeiting and Piracy Watchlist. The group criticizes intermediaries like domain registrar Namecheap for not cooperating with their requests unless presented with a U.S. court order. BREIN also calls for stricter (KYC) regulations for hosting providers and other intermediaries to prevent pirate sites from operating anonymously.

if everyone on their mother come knocking asking for information or just to fuck your site over, and NC just rolls over
How shitty would that be
If you ain't doing shady things on that domain/hosting, then you don't really have anything to worry about.
Although if NC does implement KYC; would make me walk away from them though regardless on the hosting or domains I have there.
 
I have a question that relates to this. I want to register a dot CX extension with a name that fits well. Namecheap offers this, can I then transfer it asap to shinjiru or Flokinet for their added protection? Would they accept the transfer as they don't offer dot CX extensions? If not as dot CX is there a TLD who might be the better option to go with thanks.

I'd also then use one of these offshorers for the hosting.

You can register a domain with false infos in namecheap, you can also pay with crypto!
I don't believe there is a full protection from law if you're planning on doing something weird :alien:
 
No intention of using any false information. Being as anonymous as possible makes good sense as the bigger established fish will always gobble up regardless. Wanting their cake and too eat it.

The Wild West gives opportunities, especially AI.

As for Namecheap who knows, but definitely not bulletproof.
